Apparently we have signed Elliot parrish on loan from Villa as cover for Marshall due to Heaton's injury??? :undecided:

Anyone know anything about this lad? I must confess I've never heard of him and although he is unlikely to get picked it'd be good to know his strengths and weaknessess?

Villa fans, any info most welcome <ok>

Also looks like the Macheda rumours are untrue...

I looked on the AVFC website for him.
He's a goalkeeper (you probably know that), name Elliot Parish (one 'r'). No news of a move to Cardiff came up.

"Elliot Parish is a promising young goalkeeper who has been in Villa's academy since the 2006-07 season. The custodian from Northampton spent the final two months of the 2010-11 campaign on loan at Lincoln City, making five appearances in League Two.
In the early stages of the campaign he alternated with veteran Andy Marshall as the club's reserve team goalkeeper.
He was a regular keeper for the under-18s side that won the Premier Academy League championship in 2007-08 and reached the FA Youth Cup semi-finals.
Although Parish is yet to play for the first team, he travelled with the squad to Switzerland for a pre-season tour in July 2008, where the claret and blues played games against FC Wil 1900 and FC Zurich.
The keeper has also been capped for England at youth level and was hailed as one of the stars of the 2009 U20 World Cup in Egypt by coach Brian Eastick"

He has been brought in simply as cover and will be the 3rd choice When Heaton is fit.

Only as cover, as far as I can make out.
