Mostly airport hotels or government appointed hotels. Just saw the rules published for visiting PNG now they have lifted the complete ban on foreign visitors. You have to get approval to travel first, name the hotel and show the booking. They transport you to the hotel in a special quarantine vehicle after health screening. They then escort you to your room, lock you in for 14days, just providing meals. Think I will be giving a visit a miss.

Indonesia only allows Citizens and Residents back in atm but you need to submit your passport and health certificate from doctor to immigration 3days before you travel and show approval letter to airline on check-in. Then you have to agree to be quarantined and/or tested on arrival if requested.

Looks like I have lucked out with my trip back to UK as I arrive on 18th so wont be subject to 14-days home quarantine, just whatever restrictions you are all under. Am ordering a home test kit anyway and will do another near end of my visit to show on arrival back here.

Thanks for that JT makes you wonder why anyone would go there if it's automatic forced quarantine for 14 days in a locked hotel room.

I haven't checked the U.K. details, what makes you think you'll escape it on the 18th?

The home isolation doesnt kick in until end of May. I will still have to follow whatever instructions are in place for UK.

Just ordered my Covid test kit Online which will be there for when I get back. Takes 2-3days to get results back so can feel confident I have not brought it into country and am infectious. Then I can get down B&Q. Will then take another one before I leave there.

So here’s the new message.......stay alert, keep your eyes peeled for a microscopic viral infection, if you spot one, make sure you control it, otherwise it’ll not be a good thing. <laugh>

On a 7-day moving average nobody is going to finish ahead of anybody if presumably every country deals with the virus eventually. All the graph is showing is where different countries are on their coronavirus curve. When Italy was at the peak, its 7-day moving average death rate per million was over 13, UK was slightly higher at 14, Spain managed to hit 18.

I suspect there are a number of countries like Russia and Brazil, which are relatively low down on that graph at the moment but are going to see significantly higher values.

465 UK v 319 Sweden currently if you go on the official numbers, which should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Don't know where that Sweden number came from. They have never been above 200 per day.

Got you - not a moving average per day/million of population but a total number of deaths divided by population. That's probably a much better gauge of how well countries are handling this.
