Morrison’s aren’t doing the national Govt deliveries for people shielding, or the local ones for identified vulnerable people either.
Morrison’s will only deliver if someone has ordered one, so someone must have ordered them one.
Register through the Council if they need regular support

For people on the shielding list who cannot get supplies the NHS arrange deliveries through Brakes. There is a also a self-registration portal for the NHS.

Then there is the Hull City Council webform where you can register that you need essential services such as food deliveries or collections, which the community hubs will aim to arrange.

The NHS should be first port of call for identified vulnerable people, Hull City Council the rest or if the NHS are not getting you. Worth registering with both though as HCC may respond quicker.

It is appalling and as the report says, CQC will investigate. Homes work towards National Minimum Standards, which are backed up by legislation. The health service has responsibities under this legislation. Those accountable are likely to face criminal charges. Whereas Tory government......

    You’re right
From experience the Council route is quicker, but you’re spot on, do both

I’d probably fall into the Govt ‘lambaster’ category, but it’s not mutually exclusive.
You can lambast others too and this sounds appalling.
Of course we should all expect that if people are known to have it they shouldn’t be then placed in a small space with the most vulnerable in society.
Quite what the rules are for sharing info I’m not sure, but if they don’t include this there’s something wrong.
It may turn out that the Govt have a partial blame too mind you. If their downgrading of coronavirus to one which wasn’t as infectious may have tipped it into a category not routinely shared, but I don’t know.
    Appalling though regardless

oh...I’ll still lambast the Allams too btw

That really is terrible. However, it has long been a bone of contention that those who suffer with dementia (and probably make up a large part of the care home population) are not adequately covered by the NHS' stated aim of providing healthcare from the cradle to the grave. Dementia, just like cancer and heart disease, is a medical problem. The huge shift in the balance of care home responsibility from the public to private sector hasn't helped - in 1980 85% of care homes were in the public sector and, by the end of the decade the situation had completely reversed and 85% of care homes were privately run.
I think there will be increasing calls for a stronger NHS - social care partnership following this. Apparently the government's manifesto for the last election did mention having already made plans for the restructuring of social care but they have failed to surface and the unworthy suspicion is that the plans were a fairly low priority aspiration.

Apparently the govt have had a green paper on adult social care since early 2017 but no-one's ever seen it. Last year Hancock even went so far as to say it might be scrapped as circumstances had changed. Some (from all parties) have claimed it never actually existed.

It has been a huge problem for years now - very difficult to resolve without a great deal of expenditure. Hopefully the government will be giving it serious consideration and don't feel able to kick it back into the long grass.

As a Govt lambaster I’m allowed to say, I think, that one good thing they did was bring Health and Social Care very visibly together under one Govt Department (Department of Health and Social Care)
We’re yet to see the outcome of that, but at least if you have one Secretary of State who has both ends of the accountability that’s got to be a good thing (reduce spend in NHS for example the result isn’t someone else problem...it’s yours because Social Care will creak)
There...more positivity about the Govt (I’ve just had two large rums and a cigar though so I might need to re-evaluate that view when sober...whenever that is)

Actually Dennis... Morrisons just racked up one day with a delivery.... no one knew anything about it..Maybe the NHS list of local vulnerable people was the reason... I hope everyone's Mum and Dads are managing...

Seems strange, but good I suppose
Hope they’re both well anyway. My Mum is still alive and doing fine really, she occasionally rings me up to pick up essentials for her, normally Merlot!
