    But as Libby has said there were ppl they were quarantining from the worst affected countries in hotels they'd basically taken over for that purpose.

    The question is, is it doable for all flights coming in, and how?

    a few put them in hostels some just made them use an app and if that showed them leaving their premises the authorities intervened .
    Think most just asked people to observe it like we will do here but don't forget many refused entry to folks from countries with big outbreaks .

    Vera Lynn is Gin btw.

    Does anyone still drink Gin? Does anyone actually listen to Vera Lynn? Are we witnessing a collective, UK wide mental breakdown?

    Had a revival gin. Suddenly popular again, no idea why, I've always hated it.

    Part of what I saw happen was the creation of micro pubs, but they catered for mainly middle aged men, drinking real ale, who wanted a bit of peace and quite. Then they started coming up with the idea of Gin bars within them to attract in female clientele, with cheese boards to.

    I was thinking back in this crisis the things we used to have, that has either disappeared or very rare to still see;

    Milkman, in electric milkfloats, returnable bottles, and sold other produce such as bread and local eggs.

    Soda deliveries, again returnable bottles, coke, lemonade, brightly coloured all sorts of drinks.

    Toffee apple man, remember them? Used to get peanuts from them to. Environmentally friendly, only ever on a pushbike, and would ring a bell, when they were in your street.

    Ice Cream man, their still around, but much less now.

    Ice cream men mainly sell weed now. Far better margins and less seasonality.

    The fact toffee apple men died while Ice Cream men are still going is a national disgrace tbh.

    Who doesn't love a toffee apple.

    They lifted a hundred year restriction which allowed lots of distilleries to open hence the large growth .
