It was discussed on here when Bib mentioned it being sectarian.

Think Pud also couldn't look at history through a neutral prism and thought it was horrendous that we've got a statue of a former monarch in Glasgow.

The statue used to sit on Argyle street at the Gallowgate end but was moved to the corner of John Knox Street and Castle Street.

No, was it because the Pope funded his assault on the Irish?

Looking at London then and how it is now perhaps we would have been better off losing the War and speaking German .

I've had a lovely VE Day thus far. Scones, Elgar, Battle of Britain, a countryside walk, and cucumber sandwiches have been the order of the day.

God, I'm lucky to be English.

    No Vaughan Williams mate?

And no ****ing cricket. On a day like this you want to be listening out for the sound of leather on willow.

I shall listen to The Lark Ascending before the night is out. That's a promise.

Funnily enough, I had a chat earlier with a mate who is secretary of a cricket club based in Brentwood.

Have you had a nice day?
