Coronavirus

Cracks appearing in the luv household, lockdown is taking its toll. My day off started well I was chilling with a brew and some chocolate digestives, reading my book with some modern soul playing in the background. Life is good.
There's a bang from upstairs, mini luv was awake early and had plugged straight into FIFA. I ignore and focus on the chilled soul coming from the speaker.
Voices, getting louder it's not going well upstairs. Oldest comes in complaining that mini luv had been kicking off for the last hour and waking everyone.
I grudgingly go upstairs and there's all sorts off arguments.
I leave and finish my brew the sounds from the speaker soak back in and I relax again.
Time for a walk soon.

 

The food, the weather, the scenery ... and not forgetting...

Yeah I do brother, I played rugby with him for Rhigos for a season..... Greg Morris and that crowd....all good boys.

 

But there’s so many other places you could go where the weather is good, the food is good, the scenery is good and there aren’t any french people.

There’s a whole world out there and you’re only making it as far as the closest non-English speaking country!!

Plus I agree with @luvgonzo - wtf is with all the pink wine?

 

In the heat of summer yes ... local wines, incredibly nice and very reasonably priced ... my tipple is red but I didn't bother taking a pic ... we go and do a huge shop as soon as we get there then a top up ... coz we are pissheads

Simon is hell of a boy, ****ing hell. Met him and Greg at Bristol airport 6am to go to our mates stag do in Barcelona. Simon was already bladdered.

He was wearing these almost cream chinos. By the time he got on the plane he could barely speak, promptly threw liquid up into his lap. Fell asleep, dribbled all the way there. Straight in a taxi and out on the piss for two days solid.

Never changed those chinos.

Absolute monster.

Done Greece, Portugal, Spain as a younger man ... love the chilled vibe in France ...

 

Southern France is quite nice and if you’ve got somewhere out there I can see why you go regularly. I do the same with a Villa in Spain, but couldn’t just be going to the same place every year without going anywhere else!

 

I suppose if the pink crap is for the wife that’s half acceptable.

 

We use it as a base ... there are some amazing places in the region and the drives ate through spectacular scenery ... we also use the stops to see other places which works really well ... in the years we have been going we have stopped overnight in Versailles, Chartres, Uzerch, Limoges, Tours, Blois, Angers, La Rochelle, Samur, Poitres ... and a few more...

 

Missus and 3 daughters last year ... eldest flew out with her boyfriend and I picked them up from Toulouse airport ... piece of piss compared to picking up from UK airports ...

 

Yeah but they are all still in France! Mix it up a bit man! Doesn’t the grumpy french accent do your head in?

At the very least add the odd European city break in there. With so many low cost airlines and good Airbnb choices it’s never been easier to explore Europe and even further afield.

To be fair to you, if you offered me a glass of it, I would drink. It's alcohol ffs. Probably get a load of fresh fruit and soak with the stuff to. Hot summer day anything goes.

 

... true ... but we love taking the dog with us ... she loves travelling ... it's a real family holiday
