Could you pop the link on?
Last figures for the UK were that overall deaths were double normal, so if LONDON is average other places must be **** loads higher?
Either that or lots of people are dying outside the NHS...maybe in care homes?

I don’t know anything about the death rates, but apparently 28 London bus drivers had died up to May 2nd.

I think he was referring to deaths of NHS workers, not general population.

Total deaths from alcohol (vodka) related liver etc problems - 43,127, since the statement.
Total deaths ( excluding alcohol related reasons) from sauna "over exposure" - mainly hyperthermia - 1,566 since the statement.

Be interesting to see deaths v population density actually (not saying it would change policy...I just get interested in stuff like that)
Loads of people saying total deaths from covid are in important measure, other saying deaths from five per million population etc
Seems to me that population density must be an issue?

Taken from 606 Corona forum today.... I didn't see the briefing, but FFS.."Some of these journos at the Press Briefings are monumentally thick , Beth Rigby asking whether we can sunbathe on Monday but not Sunday when no announcement has been made anyway."

I'm not going to contribute to this debate, but I will make one comment.

Those posters saying that the Government shouldn't be held to account 'until it's over' (whatever the **** that might mean) need to do a bit of research into what democracy means.

And then hang their heads in shame.

Or maybe just go and celebrate their anti-democratic standpoint if they actually are of that persuasion.

I don't have a specific link - this came from the BBC's More or Less programme a couple of weeks or so back. They do so a podcast which should be available on Sounds - of you check back on the programme summaries you should find it. I'll take a look myself and post details when I find it.

    I think I misunderstood
If you were talking about NHS people dying I was missing the point
