The Graunudid has got hold of the Cygnus report and published it, although I cannot download it myself... One point of this 2017 was that Care homes were going to have problems...nobody from govt did discuss this with them!
https://www.dw.com/en/bundesliga-re...halt-the-10-big-questions-answered/a-53362960 The resumption comes with plenty of conditions. No fans will be allowed in, the numbers of staff and officials travelling to games will be restricted, teams will arrive to matches at separate times, social distancing will be required off the pitch and pre-match formalities such as team photos, handshakes and mascots will be dispensed with. Players will be tested for coronavirus at least once a week and will only be allowed to play if they are negative twice in a row. Even the ball will be disinfected before and during the game.
What about during the game as well, marking on corners, walls at set pieces, tussling for possession. I know our defenders have practiced social distancing before it became fashionable but a lot of players like to defend properly. Games with no atmosphere will also be awful as well
Germany is so far ahead of the UK in managing this Covid situation. Active cases are around 30% of their peak. We can't even work out if we have peaked yet
Atm the Echo is suggesting L1 and L2 seasons will be abandoned. Poor relatives of football cannot afford the costs of protection and playing indoors with no crowd. No expectation of the EPL helping out of course.
Looks like our season is abandoned and will be settled on PPG, that’s what I’ve heard via work. No play-offs, so we basically shanked it with those 4 games before the stoppage, and Wycombe will finish third. How financial compensation will work god knows, what’s sure is it won’t be enough to clear the lack of funds our owners have and the need for investment or a takeover is going to be as urgent as it gets.
Three Fiorentina players and three members of the club's support staff have tested positive for coronavirus.
So a win against Gillingham and a win against Bristol Rovers could have sent us up. Let it go, Robertson! Let it go!
Korean game I just watched was excellent Motors win 1-0 Plenty of tackles fleeing in All the coaching staff wore face masks The players didn't They were playing like they didn't have a care in the world Hope the Germans dee the same next week On,y thing missing was the crowd mind they used the tannoy to make up for that
First German team to announce they can't play the first fixture, if at all.. Bundesliga: Dynamo Dresden's entire squad in isolation just a week before restart - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52601471
It amazes me when people laugh at players for saying they're scared of resuming football. The Germans clubs have done absolutely everything by the book yet they're having problems even before it's started. ""In the past few weeks, we have made enormous efforts in terms of personnel and logistics in order to strictly implement all the prescribed medical and hygienic measures, "said the Dynamo sports manager."
