The correct protocol would have been to inform the House today. Only that’d steal his thunder, as it’s all about the attempt at being a 2 bob Churchill and giving his National address on Sunday.

No, and it’s a long swab like an ear bud, that goes up the nose right to the back of the sinus. They wiggle it around a few times and it’s done.

    Wouldn't know.

What I did see was a Have I Got News for You social media post showing all the tabloid headlines stating glorious Monday etc. in anticipation of pub gardens opening. Mail, Sun, Star, Express etc etc.

Something I've not heard one actual politician state.

Feel free to show me where any Tory has said this is happening mind, willing to be proven wrong.

well imo a possible list of early "loosening" measures some time ago would actually have helped as most people would then wait until they were came on stream but by refusing to talk about it people are just doing it for themselves .

Where in that post you've quoted have I mentioned anything you've just laid at me? Including the tory jibe which seems to be the go to comment atm against anyone saying anything ppl don't like.

I was replying directly to a post by Solid about possible easing of restrictions for work and what I thought to that.

In another post to brb I said it was stupid to make any restriction easing comments pre-empting the Sunday announcement because as we saw at the start of the outbreak, until that announcement, it sends out mixed messages and there are enough people and idiots out there who will see it as a green light to do what they want without waiting. And a green light for the press to fuel that as we've seen in the papers inside 24 hours of the comments being made. There was no need for it and it's just irresponsible. You'd think they would've learnt the pitfalls of sending out mixed messages from before so it's even more frustrating they're doing it again. You can disagree with that if you like but it's got nothing to do with moaning or tory.

Agree completely. And that wouldn't just mean who can and can't return to work at any given time.

FWIW I think it's been badly handled. Boris let it be known yesterday (Wednesday) that he was going to make an announcement Sunday. This was rightly challenged by Starmer in the big house, since then we have also heard contrary echoes from Sturgeon (who I can't stand btw).

Boris imho is wrong, to let it even be known he is going to make an announcement Sunday, especially before a VE Day Weekend. Many people had things planned for Friday, so some of them will be asking much as I did about the B&Q fiasco, 'IF' you are going to unlock us on Monday, then I might do as I want this weekend.

This in turn causes a problem for the police, once again it sends out confused messages, even if it is the media who are the ones to blame. Boris should have said nothing, but the reason he did was to stroke his ego as Tobes rightly pointed out in his Churchill comment.

Fook it, just get the pub gardens open and stop pissing about.
