Croatia are one of the most heavily dependent on tourism in the EU and they're predicting a 9.4% drop in GDP. There's every possibility that our economy is going to suffer more greatly than the EU.

That's why Bonko wants to lift the lockdown (but Sturgeon, Starmer and the media in general has said no) so is changing his mind somewhat...

Bonko unlike most other national leaders is bone idle so does do the daily press briefings

Now this is me trying to guess what duplicitous politicians are up to.

I reckon Bonko sees that Starmer is laying a trap, when he says you cannot expect people to get back to work, unless it is a safe environment ie 2 metres and PPE. If a person returns to work, gets covid 19 and dies... Starmer accuses Bonko of killing people as he thinks the economy is more important than lives.

Sturgeon has called Bonko's bluff on this as well

Politically Bonko is on thin ice@

It seems that the easing will be minimal. 70/80 % of Brits apparently want lockdown to continue (more afraid of virus than recession ) so, as we were. The gains made by lockdown and distancing will continue because of the efforts of the majority continuing to do the right thing ---- whilst we are still at risk from the selfish minority who think that they're clever.

If they're genuinely excercising , fair enough, but I know what you mean, sometimes it seems the other way round , that 70/80 are out not giving a damn.

I hope this is true (selfishly). I feel like even the minimum of restrictions being lifted on Monday will lead to people flouting lockdown far more openly.

Personally I'm in the 1.5m and have taken a few more risks than is recommended - I go out for a walk for exercise and mental health a couple of times a week or to the local shop, but I do so early in the morning or late at night to minimise contact. As soon as the lockdown eases, I'll have to shield myself 100% and not leave the house as I can't trust people to take full precautions unfortunately. Let's just hope the government have sorted things out so I can actually get food delivered by then.

I'm missing my family but wouldn't get on a plane tomorrow if you paid me.

Aye, give the morons an inch and they'll take a mile. I think that even when/if its declared to be over, there'll be a majority who give everyone a wide swerve for a long time afterwards.

Is that a guess or fact? I'm stressing out on 80% at the same time appreciating the fact I am safe and still have a job.
