Seems Germany are miles ahead of us, and have tested ALL of their players in the top 2 flights. 10 have tested positive - now although that's a very small percentage, what happens when we start testing, and a player that has been training with his squad tests positive (bound to happen) - rest of squad will have to self isolate for 2 weeks!! All these Football Officials thinking up these daft idea's to re-start - it's just fantasy, and not going to happen any time soon!!!
Self isolating was prior to tests being readily available. If they test an entire team and two test positive then those two are sent home, if the rest return negative results why would they need to self isolate?
Yes. My Mum got tested 2 weeks ago - had to wait 10 days for the results of the 2 swab tests. 1 returned positive and 1 returned negative - she now has to wait 5 days before she can be tested again!!!
Technically not a complete waste. It would reduce chances of them catching the virus but wouldn’t eliminate the risk. Won’t happen Ristac
I agree. And with more & more players now airing their concerns, it seems extremely farcical!! Clubs want season finished for one reason, and one reason only - money. That money is predominantly used to pay players. Players don't want to play. And around we go.
What would help greatly is if Boris announced at end of week that there can be no team sports even behind closed doors till September. It’ll be a lot longer than that anyway. At least then the football authorities will be forced into making the tough decisions they are currently avoiding. If he gives them Even a glimmer of hope, they’ll drag their feet for another couple of months
Fair play to Rick Parry on sky sports. Leaving everyone in no doubt if there isn’t three promotions from the Championship there will be serious legal ramifications with lawyers getting very rich. They need to keep the pressure on the greedy bastards in the pl. Jamie Carragher also ridiculed the idea of a no relegation finish to the pl
Can't see all the points they are making (without subscribing) but found them here https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sp...ews/damning-letter-puts-season-fresh-18205293. Some very valid points re goalkeeping gloves, liability insurance, ability of emergency services to attend training ground accidents etc etc. This is going to get very messy very quickly!!!
The athletic is a super publication. I subscribed as they were doing a 90 day free subscription for newbies. Worth looking into for any of us with extra spare time
Huge development. Germany's Bundesliga has been given the green light to re-start their season. If they manage to do so without any incidents, will the EPL be far behind???
Depends if the players are getting paid or not, they’re claiming they’re worried about safety, watch that fear vanish the minute they’re told they won’t be paid
Probably something to do with fact they’ve had 20% casualty rate uk have had even if wakey thinks they’ve fiddled the figures of course
