Perhaps they could play in Queensland, we only have 53 current CV infections?

Lots of rumours doing the rounds that the 18 clubs that didn't ask their players to take wage defferals are asking for sanctions against the 6 that did (Leeds, Brum, Swansea, Millwall - not sure who the other 2 are).

Imagine if they give us a 10 point deduction then declare season over :emoticon-0127-lipss:emoticon-0127-lipss

What absolute bollocks this is. Massive public outrage over Premier clubs that furlough their non-playing staff and government ministers calling out millionaire players for not taking pay cuts. Then Leeds (and others) are slagged off for trying to help their staff. And it's a deferral, not a pay cut. More clutching at straws by clubs.

So because we and florist deferred payments, I take it with the agreement of the players, and breaking no rules. Preston want us punished just because they didn't go down that route. FFS laughable <laugh>

Not sure if any rules have been broken, but the 18 clubs that didn't defer wages could argue that the 6 that did, gained an unfair financial advantage over the rest by doing so!!

Yeah, always ends well for us when we haven't broken a rule but other clubs think what we've done isn't fair.

    Rule change incoming.

A club can do anything it likes with its finances, just as long as they comply with the stringent FFP rules. There are no further rules in place where clubs face sanctions just because club A doesn't like how club B handle their finances.

The option has been open to all clubs, and the very fact that the EFL has not spoken out against the practice suggests that they have been consulted & approved it before implementation, or simply don't feel the need to comment on something so juvenile.

Remember, Preston have been banging on about this for ages, and all the while, not a word from the EFL. A better example of passive approval you will struggle to find! :)

Exactly! And it's one of our best advantages to play the full 90 mins.
