I may not agree with everything Jeremy Hunt says on the outbreak, but he deserves a lot of recognition for his honesty throughout the whole Covid-19 pandemic <applause>

Hancock could learn a lot from him the fake arse slimy ****.

The way he spoke to Rosena Khan today was unbelievably arrogant for a Health Secretary presiding over the worst death toll in Europe.

Hancock is a deliberate liar. The duplicitous way he announced the 123k tests when you could see he knew it was a sleight of hand to the public shows what a slimy **** he is.

Jeremy Hunt on the other hand provides a much more balanced and honest appraisal of the country's response to the outbreak. Where the government's done all it could he's said so, where the government has made mistakes he's said so. Where we are as a nation in our response and how well or badly that compares to others he's said so.

Why is it politicians who tend to be past their political high point seem to have nothing to play for so become far more honest about things.

In his defence I doubt he has that much say on the wording of the speech. It was clearly a PR stunt and it worked. Those who reject any criticism of the government cling onto the 122k and stick their fingers in their ears when it’s evaluated so job done.

No harm in having 49% of people know you’re lying if 51% are determined to believe you’re not.

Always been the same mate .
People know they are full of **** whilst in power but most ain't really bothered.
When they speak the truth whilst on the downward hill they are regarded as being bitter and resentful at times .

Tbh from Edward Heath down, I can't think of any politician after their political ambitions were over and they spoke honestly and candidly about stuff, did they ever sound bitter or resentful.

The ones who never actually achieved their ambitions however....

"China’s HealthCode app is technically voluntary as well, but it is required if you wish to move freely around the country. It is not clear what data it collects; it simply gives users a rating, red, orange or green, depending on how at-risk they are deemed to be by its algorithm. Its lack of transparency is concerning."

Heard on the radio today an epidemiologist listing a couple of stats that will be meaningful once we have a final death toll. She mentioned that there are a plethora of variables and comparing like for like against other countries is a waste of time.

Won’t stop many folk comparing like for like though eh... as they’ve recently qualified themselves as expert epidemiologists via Twitter College.
