Everything they are saying at these press conferences are mitigation for when they lift the "lockdown" measures, is madness but I reckon they will start next week. We'll be back up to the 1,000 deaths a day figures within weeks if they do. :emoticon-0145-shake

Our "special relationship" with the Yanks even extends to allowing deadly viruses to run rampant through the population killing tens of thousands it seems...

The common factor, Trump and Bonko are both cnuts and care more about the economy and their political re-election than poor people, BAME and care home residents dying...

Should be considering making it stricter- and giving harsher penalties for those who please themselves

So 'Mr Lockdown' Professor Neil Ferguson, who's 'science' the government has been following has been forced to quit.

    Why?

Because he's encouraged his married bit on the side to visit his home during the lockdown he insisted was vital.

He, like the other apologists, claimed it was 'an error of judgement'.

No it wasn't you lying scumbag.

Your judgement was that you thought you could get away with it. You didn't have to judge if it was incorrect, you knew it was ...

... I hope your tart gave you the virus you hypocritical piece of shyte.

"A top scientist whose research aided Boris Johnson’s decision to impose a lockdown has resigned after reportedly allowing a woman to visit his home in an "error of judgment". "

We're "following the science" and one of the men behind the science is too busy following his dick to pay attention to his own rules.

Elitism has always been apparent in this country, but they literally see everyone else as plebs to be told how to act whilst they do what they want. The disdain he's treated the country with is a disgrace in my opinion. Hopefully he never gets another job in public service.

So from the latest info from a select committee, yes we were late with lockdown, insufficient PE and were not ready for mass testing at the outbreak of the pandemic.

Also, as had been mentioned on this thread earlier, 18m people came into the UK from abroad, 'seeding' the Coronvirus all over the country.

Anecdotally I can back that up, as a classmate of my grandson came back from holiday in Spain and was I'll, possibly with covid 19, during the phoney war time.
