It seems we have been here before...let's hope the 'stalemate' is overcome in the fans favour! Nothing in the Echo, other than Donald still touting the club.
Prem clubs have started planning for the 20-21 season to be behind closed doors, if fans aren’t aloud to attends games Until a vaccine I can see Donald selling up sharpish
On the downside I see Mr Rodwell’s comments about there being little movement in the transfer window don’t bode well. Obviously getting his excuses in early for signing no ****er again. It is very difficult to read anything at all into these developments with his appointment and now a complete lack of any information coming out.
Nathan Obrien is now on the board at the foundation, is that the scrap metal fella? https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/04243171/filing-history
businessman with Sunderland links now in director roles in varying SOL registered companies i.e - Tom sloanes / Dave Jones / Nathan Obrien....was this not a pre-requisite of the FPP takeover if I recall @Smug in Boots ?
Good memory mate. They weren't impressed with Methven and wanted local people who live in the area to get things moving. I remember the flak I took for posting they'd been advised by an ex-England manager with local connections. Now almost everyone accepts it as a sensible step that actually happened ... ... if you were buying a club in the States it would be the first thing you'd do.
I was told about O'Brien, posted it and was slated when it didn't come off. I was told about an ex-England manager with Sunderland connections and thought it must be Allardyce. Turns out it was more likely McClaren but my info came from someone being guarded with what he said.
If I owned a club, was barely treading water financially and the football was on indefinite hiatus I wouldn't be hiring new execs. I suspect something's going on.
It's interesting but the Foundation isn't an integral part of the club ... ... it does mean O'Brien is 'in contact' though.
I don’t think it’s really linked to the actual club be even more interesting if he ends up on the board of the club, but he is linked to the Americans
I think that's a courtesy situation tbh, I don't think he spends much time on it. A mate knows O'Brien and says he's straight as a die, the opposite of Methven who he also knows.
