A woman from Newcastle phoned me up this afternoon. She said she worked for the Help Agency and said that I was on the list of vulnerable people who was sent a letter recently about self isolating for 12 weeks. She said that she was tasked with following this up to see how things were and if I was getting all the help I needed. All was going well until she asked me if my accommodation was suitable for self isolation. I told her I had heard they had a load of vacancies in Care Homes now and there was no fecking chance I was moving into one. That Boris will try anything to cut costs won't he. Bleddy Tories..............
Well I fully intended to play us out with this just before I went to bed BUT I was interrupted by a very eventful evening.. Sing along Firstly our dogs buggered off somewhere and hadn't returned by bedtime. So, before going to bed I went to the kitchen and opened the outside door so the dogs could come in when they eventually got back. As I opened the door, a swallow flew into the kitchen and did a few laps before settling on the TV. Our walls are over 2 feet thick and the doorways widen towards the inside, allowing doors to be open really wide. So I opened the door right back and encouraged the bird towards the door. However, it didn't seem very keen to go out and just did a few more laps and settled on a plant. Then again, and settled on the door. I thought, aha, now it will fly off. Nope. Every time I went to steer it out, it just did more laps and settled somewhere else. A few times it flew through the doorway but did a swift turn back in. Then a couple of cats came in so I had to shove them in the utility room. I was beginning to get the impression this bird didn't like the dark. The door into the hallway has glass panels and this was the next place for it to perch. Through the glass I could see one of our cats in the hallway climbing up the door. Obviously, the cat couldn't get to the bird but I ushered the little thing away. All this fun went on for over an hour and a half and eventually, with the bird perched happily on the TV, I decided to shut he door, leave the light on for it and go to bed, forgetting to post the song I got up early this morning and the little thing was looking quite comfortable. As it was light, I opened the door and ushered the bird towards the door. After a few laps it zoomed out the door. The dogs came home at 3.30 this morning; one soaking wet so had obviously been for a swim in the river, to the other side, and the other was shivering (the wife let them in). Both flat out in the lounge now (the dogs)
How on earth did the swallow turn into a swift Ron ! You have thrown everyone there Ron I put Ruby Tuesday on last week and now you have posted it on a Wednesday or I thought it was or have we gone back to last Tuesday

100th. Birthday RAF Flypast for Captain, nay, Colonel Tom:- https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-52484185/captain-tom-raf-flypast-in-veteran-s-honour
They didn't win phil we had to bail them out....................just ask Colonel Tom he'll tell you. I notice that the UK couldn't offer the population an EXTRA Bank Holiday just for one year. I can't remember not having a May Day and was surprised to see it was cancelled this year in favour of the VE one. No excuses about being locked down or anything as they would have planned this long before now and the virus was invented. I say invented because I still have a suspicion that it came from a laboratory rather than Mother Nature. I went for a walk today. Fecking waste of time as I didn't manage to fall out with anyone the whole time. I hate it when everyone is being far too polite and friendly.......
I'll try that one again then last game of the season today 12.30 ko stay safe everyone or any alcoholic drink will do
