good afternoon everyone! What a bad start to my day! my girls woke up late and missed the school bus so someone...er, that'd be me..had to rush them off to school...followed by trying to get a replacement debit card from the bank..only to find that i answered one of my security questions wrong and had to start all over again! i still can't work out which question it was but i'm sure i know my date of birth, address and sort code! Having growled for long enough, i headed out to work, and to see a pupil i haven't seen since June..who suddenly decided to book a test! Hmmpfh!

Afternoon all. Its all go here!! The police have closed off the main roan in front of the uni because there is a suspicious package. Its chaos as only 1/2 of the campus is open!!

We had the other lecturer today so it was much easier to understand him, and he got a big applause when he said he would be taking the lecture.

nah, my bulging bag is with my. I would not have been surprised if the police were stopping people, if i was not first on their list. I have a laptop case which is bulging at the seams and looks like it might burst open any second. Plus with my sunglasses covering my eyes completely i must look shifty!

He's the one, I believe, whose children use their mother's maiden name instead of his - to avoid embarrassment at school. Can't think why

 

I dont know how they spotted it because its very busy there and people do funny things. I will watch the local news and find out more. I was about 100yards away from the actual device, but in the building.

When I was at uni a friend of mine went for his first tutorial and knocked on the Professor's door. Once inside the room, the introductions went as follows:

Prof: Name...
Student: Michael...
Prof: Surname...
Student: Ball...
Prof: Ball? How very singular...

 

Back in the days of Atkinson-eque morning roll call - a friend at school had an English father and Danish mother. His surname was Cobb, but why his parents chose to celebrate his Danish roots by naming him Lars I'll never know.

 

You do have to feel for the children, it must be hell in that top private school the champagne socialists send them to....
