Yes. It has several meanings, including the accepted verb for the mode of transport for a submarine.

Doesn't matter what the reason is, you could be booking a rent-o-kill visit. The fact remains you have to book it in with a site that is far, far away.
Sorry, but you are just out of it with this one.

I defer to your knowledge of forklift trucks. Just dunno how that translates into a knowledge of submarines. Oh, it er, doesn't. :emoticon-0100-smile

I agree that we cannot start football until it's safe. How many people on here are saying we shouldn't restart this season but that next is sound? How many people are actually saying null and void now and that you shouldn't get the title?

I like you Donga mate, but you're ****ing hard work when it comes to Liverpool sometimes. You seem to can't help but apply the extremes to everyone who has a different opinion to you on this and refuse to see what people are saying.

Joe Anderson was bang on with his comments about the risk of fans congregating btw, why should the emergency services have to deal with that at the moment?

Football shouldn’t restart until it’s safe to do so. In my opinion it shouldn’t restart without fans, as if it’s not safe for fans to attend then it simply can’t be safe for the players to play a contact sport, if that means we can’t see games played for months down the line or even until next year, then so be it, it is what it is. Football just really isn’t that important.

You’ve admitted yourself that your view on this is based on Liverpool, and that your view wouldn’t be the same if your position was reversed with that of say, United. So all you’re interested in is the Holy Grail, and your clambering for the moral high ground is therefore somewhat rich.......

Oh and btw, I’ve just read that the French league have a rule, that if the league is ever cancelled then the table is final.

It isn't. You are 100 percent correct. If people suggest we can't play now but that without any changes in the situation it will be magically ok in 3-4 months is wrong. There's a hope it may be better and if things are in place then hopefully a start, maybe late, will be possible. I've said from my first post on here that Liverpool should be handed the title (and not mentioned any asterisks or such).

As regards 3 people from your workplace etc. It clearly depends on the workplace, the NHS has seen 100+ people die despite the use of full PPE. They are working because it is absolutely necessary (I assume you will concede the NHS running is more important than football?) and the guidelines for healthworkers have been slacker than for anyone else from day 1 for this purpose. As for in football there's at least 22 people who will not be social distancing from each other for periods of around 2 hours, they will rotate with other people. They will train during the weeks in match situations. They will also, presumably, not be wearing any PPE or masks. I can understand the reticence of players to go back to be honest.

I've said from the start that the season should be continued if possible. I also think the season should be finished even if it's in 6 months or whatever. I don't think it's realistic to be going back now or in the coming few weeks, I just don't. If people chose to perceive that as an ABL stance it says far more about them than me.

They could implement strict social distancing in grounds ... make supporters sit at least six seats apart ... like they do at Arsenal :bandit:

Now THAT is rich. Iirc, you were the bob-on first to post on the coronavirus thread that cancelling the league null and void would be 'The silver lining to the cloud'. But that's just bantz, eh? You have been the one stamping out the moral ground thereafter, half-quoting reports you thought may support null and void, coming up with quasi, 'learned' legal arguments as to why null and void could be the only course that was acceptable and asserting every other course was open to legal challenges that null and void wasn't (only to be totally contradicted by a Dutch sports law professor). .

Now, as the inevitable closes in that it's play it out or something on the lines of PPG, we've now got posters and mayors (okay, not you in this instance) saying that even if Liverpool win the title by whatever means, thousands will become infected because the evil baby-murderers will celebrate. Christ, I'm waiting to be told that if we set off rockets in our back gardens it will spread coronavirus like a dirty bomb. So just go back though this thread and the Coronavirus one and see how many posters have referred to denying Liverpool the title because it's 'Hysterical'. Then take a ****ing step back and realise that Liverpool are 25 points ahead of their only rival (who have won only half of their last six league games), not 20, 15 or 10, but 25 points. Then give your friggin' head a wobble for saying it's claiming the moral high ground to suggest they should be champions if the league can't be finished, as opposed to spending over a month now coming up with bogus, crypto-legal humbug and moralising that null and void was the only choice that Jesus would have made had He still walked the earth. :emoticon-0119-puke:

Is that the asterisk next to City's record points total to denote it would have been smashed this season had the rest of the league got off its stool after the 29th round?
