Maybe it’s Paul Allen, the Microsoft co-founder, who was linked to the club back in 2007? https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/1362362.is-billionaire-about-to-buy-up-the-saints/
Curious how much work is being done by "company" in that telling. In any circumstances, we'd be bought by a holding company, but if it was mostly/wholly backed by one person you'd then expect the headline would be that some billionaire in for us. The danger with a company is the same as it was with Gao: if they're buying on debt, whether that debt is attached to the club or not, it hangs over our heads in a rather ominous fashion, particularly if we get relegated. But perhaps all we can aim for is a fairly competent version of that for the moment. We're in that unfortunate middle ground where we've hardly a bargain acquisition but we also aren't competing for anything much, so we're neither a great choice as either a budget-conscious nor glory-chasing billionaire's plaything.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...iss-American-linked-Newcastle-United-bid.html This is the guy I am wondering about.
Last weekend the Sunday Mirror was reporting an interest from Joseph da Grosa, an American billionaire who used to own Bordeaux. His policy wouldn’t be far removed from what we already have, although he might fit nicely with Ralph, in as much as he thinks clubs should get players young and develop them. I don’t think he will throw money at the club.
Nothing to get excited about then other than getting rid of Gao as I think the relations between China and the rest of the world are going to get a bit sticky in the coming months
I actually know someone quite well (son in law) who has a conference call with him on Tuesday lol. Don't think he'll ask though.
I think he would tell my son in law as they know each other quite well, but I doubt my son in law will tell me if it is him. Exciting...not been ITK before lol.
Erm, yeah. You're still not. Knowing someone who knows something, but who isn't telling what he knows(because he isn't even getting asked) isn't really being I.T.K is it?
Ah but knowing someone who knows someone who could potentially ask someone about something that isn't happening is.
