So Hunt is idolized while Massa is called a cry baby in the same upset manner. Massa taps Lewis and Hunt smacks a Marshal. Wow! media can really influence people nowadays...
Erm what? Lewis hit Kamui on the racing line... Entirely Lewis fault, he didn't check his mirror after the DRS overtake and he should of know the Saubers where quick in the straights.
Excuse me, but Hamilton was in front, not half a car length, nigh on a full car length , Kumi had lost the corner and had been passed, therefore as the driver behind and seeing the Hamilton taking the line into the corner , it was up to him to slow down to avoid the hit. Or are you telling me that when driving on a normal road , and some ahead of you goes to take the corner, you drive straight into their backside rather than slow down? Massa was ahead of hamilton , Hamilton tried to slow and tuck in behind him at the corner misjudged and hit his rear trye, and is penalised, Yet hamilton nigh on full car length in front or Kumi , with the right to the racing line, gets tapped in the back and sent off at high speed by a second rate touring car driver, and its Hamiltons fault? So whats that Heads I win , Tales you lose?? In the UK one the road, you hit someone from behind its your fault for not watching what the hell was going on in front of you , or are you saying Kumi could not see him??
They were racing for position, Hamilton got slipstream and overtook with DRS, Kobi ducked back into slipstream and got back almost fully alongside! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=berEWZHNe0A&feature=related Pause at 0.10 and you will see Kobi's front wheel just behind Lewis'. Kamui had every right to try and retake Hamilton, he was almost alongside, Hamilton didnt look in his left mirror and pulled across when Kamui was there! 100% Lewis' fault and he and the McLaren also admitted it was! Why should Kamui have to jump out of Lewis' way when they were racing for position - if Lewis was lapping Kamui it would have been completely the other way and Kamui would have been 100% at fault! But it was for position!
This is racing, not on the road! You obviously are not a racer yourself, when you are overtaken you try and get back past cleanly and when you overtake someone you DO NOT just swerve across and expect them to back out - if Lewis had just kept it straight Kobi would have lost the corner and all would be fine, no accident! I dont know if its the case with you but it seems the same people who use Vettel hitting Webber (Turkey) as an example of a Vettel mistake now say Lewis is not to blame! I mean that just doesnt add up! :/
With All due respect thats Balls, due to the fact that Kamui's front trye hits Hamiltons back!! If that was other way round it would have been Hamliton up before the stewards and you know it. If they had of it front wheels together you may have had a point, but front against back?? lets put it this way , I know who would win that insurance claim! He lost position , the fact that his front connected hamilton back wheel shows who was ahead, unless you have some new form of geometary not know to man.
Would you stop referring to road driving! This not road driving, completly different so you CANNOT make comparisons! Racing is totally different! If you watch the video and pause at 0.10 you can clearly see that kamui is MORE THAN HALFWAY alongside not the barely alongside that you are suggesting! And Kamuis front wheel hit Hamiltons sidepod but since the car was turning left anyway this is why it spun! What you dont seem to understand is that Kamui had every right to be alongside Hamilton there and if Lewis had kept the car straight and not swerved over he would have made a clean pass! You are pretty much out on your own on this one mate because Brundle/Jordan/Coulthard, Lewis himself and the McLaren team all admit it was an error from Lewis!!
every single person who watched that accident, and who isn't a deluded hamelot, knows that that accident was 100% Hamiltons fault and Kobayashi was the innocent victim. Hamilton took the corner thinking no one was there and so left no room, moved to the left to take the right and the rest is history.
I think the reason Massa was cheesed off with him was because he blanked him and went straight to the interviews, that would explain the tugging back and comment he made.
As has been said already also I don't think Hamilton would have got a penalty but for the fact he caused Massas puncture, some of the comments about the stewards having a vendetta against him are over-the-top given that they are apparently different people every race.
I've got to add my 2 penny worths, does anyone remember a first corner racing incident with Kimi (i believe), Hammy was the 1st person in the history of the sport to get a drive through, never been done before never been done since, so yeah I can see where he's aggrieved. Brundle also made the comment Lewis fans will be wondering why he got that when Schumi got nothing in Monza, as Brundle said different set of stewards, but the whole point was to bring in consistence, that hasn't worked at all has it
good point, Massa was probably stewing all race and expecting Hamilton to apologise immediatley after the race, which he should of done.
LOL, I can't believe that some Hamilton fans still refuse to believe that this was his fault. He said it was his fault, give it up already..... As for Hamilton's again driving like a idiot and hitting Massa, again 100% his fault, and I think that the Stewarts were completely correct. I'm sure that Hamilton’s past behaviour has an effect on any incidents that's he's involved in, he’s had enough warnings and reprimands it’s time for some action. Let’s all hope, seemingly beyond hope, that he finally learns something and stops these silly mistakes.
In my book, the webber-vettel crash in Turkey was pretty much both drivers fault. Though as I sheered for Webber I might be biased when I think Vettel had the biggest fault. The Hamilton-Kobayashi incident was clearly 100% Hamiltons fault. So this theory is not true for me anyway Absolutely correct! Here is Hamiltons tweets about it: LewisHamilton Lewis Hamilton Congrats to Jenson, I solid drive. 28 Aug LewisHamilton Lewis Hamilton Apologies to Kamui and to my team. The team deserves better from me. Best wishes, Lewis 28 Aug Favorite Retweet Reply » LewisHamilton Lewis Hamilton After watching the replay, I realize it was my fault today 100%. I didn't give Kobayashi enough room though I thought in was past. 28 Aug Favorite Retweet Reply No driver would freely write that just to quiet the media. Especially Lewis, nobody could ever persuade him he would never agree. He is too proud for that. And Nothing wrong with that, just saying. I am the same way.
I suspect fevriul who is defending Hamilton for this incident was also shouting foul when Schumacher kept closing the gap on Hamilton at spa, especially when he nearly got driven off the road when he went for a gap that wasn't there. I would imagine his theory of the car behind is always at fault switched to the car in front was at fault just to suite his stance that Lewis can do no wrong
