    two things really.

    1. no travelling, hotels, meals out, etc, etc. ( I was away 9 out of the first 10 weeks this year with work.

    2. cycling every other day. Doing 100-120 miles a week.

still having a drink or two and diet is much the same. Some good some bad (but not eating at hotels and airports)

Oxford United today sent all of their season ticket holders face masks with their club crest on them. Wasn't that a nice gesture.<ok>

I am sure it will be really delicious and you will enjoy every mouth-watering mouthful. I expect you will be the dutiful partner and clear the kitchen afterwards. You seem like that sort of really nice guy.

Come, come I am so desperately trying to be "Mr Nice Guy" rather than that nasty old Victor Meldrew type character I used to be. I have seen the error of my ways and turned over a new leaf. Never again will I be beastly to anyone. I have put aside the anger and bitterness brought about by a lifetime of neglect and abuse. I have buried my anger and frustration and metamorphosed into the warm, kind and generous person I know you all have wanted me to be. I refuse to be the nasty old Godders you all came to dislike and mistrust.

That may be a step too far for an old Marxist like me. Anyway I have to say goodnight for I am off to bed now. I plan to get up nice and early and cook the very lovely Mrs Godders:emoticon-0115-inlov breakfast in the morning. She will be really surprised. All I have to do now is find out where the kitchen is.

If the government just came out and admited they missed the 100000 test goal for the month they would have gained a little respect from me. But no, instead they had to make bullshit changes just to make it look like they made the goal. Even in time like this they are trying to save face. Pathetic

Strewth mate you are being a bit hard on the government. The main thing surely is getting people tested and for it to be more readily able. They set a target and made the tests available isn’t that a good thing? Everything else is surely a bit unknown but at least the tests seem to be available.

Tests are available now...6 weeks into lockdown and after knowing about this virus all year. It’s really not something to be proud of, especially when you fudge the statistics to try and make it look better than it is.

I am guessing you think they could have got the tests quicker...........despite the tests they are using now being quicker and more easier than the initial tests? If you had been in charge you could have done better?

First of all, yes the test kits could have been ordered quicker, but it's not that that is my issue at the moment. Why do they have to lie about the numbers? Why not just come clean and say "we tried, we came close, but didn't quite make it"?

Because lying is in their genes. Ooops. Sorry I'll start again. They tried very hard and they are doing their best and we should all be very grateful and get right behind them.
