This is up to 5.00pm yesterday and is from Public Health England, so presumably deaths in England, rather than the whole of the UK.

Edit: Ignore this, apparently that is the whole UK figure.

British Airways are planning on making up to 12,000 of its 42,000 employees redundant.

NHS England has recommended health trusts assess Black, Asian and ethnic minority (BAME) workers as "at potentially greater risk" from coronavirus.

The official guidance says UK and international data indicates "people from BAME backgrounds are also being disproportionately affected by COVID-19".

    Classic from Russia!!!

A bishop in Russia has advised women to avoid nagging their husbands during the coronavirus lockdown.

Bishop Panteleimon, who is head of the Russian Orthodox Church’s department for charity, was answering questions from viewers during a live YouTube broadcast when one woman asked him how to live in obedience to her husband.

The church official told the woman she should first “stop making comments” to her spouse to avoid creating tension during the Covid-19 lockdown.

He also advised the woman to punish herself if she does make comments by making a promise to God to make 10 bows in the evening, or to not eat chocolate or sit on the internet all day if she does make comments, the Moscow Times reports.

And his colleague Bishop Pantieoff has decreed that to further reduce tension during this challenging time, that females should engage in unconditional coitus with their husband's to show their obedience to god...

The grim high street jobs toll triggered by the coronavirus crisis rose again on Thursday when administrators to Oasis and Warehouse struck a deal to sell them to Hilco Capital, the former owner of HMV.

Sky News understands that Hilco has agreed to buy the two brands, along with Idle Man, and the stock from their hundreds of outlets across the UK.

However, the deal does not include the Oasis and Warehouse Group's stores, meaning that just over 1800 staff at the chains are facing immediate redundancy.

It's actually the opposite, it's aimed at twenty-somethings and a lot of the gear on there is slim fit (which is why Chazz hasn't heard of it).

Good to see Boris back leading the daily update!

No real changes until atleast (probably longer) may 7th and even then they will be small and gradual by the sounds of it

Coronavirus: Another 674 people with COVID-19 die in UK (new reporting figures, including deaths in all settings).

'I can confirm we are past the peak of this disease' - Prime Minister Boris Johnson says he will outline a comprehensive plan next week to 'get the economy moving'.

Everyone scoffed when Boris said we could turn the tide on this virus in 12 weeks.

Well we have done it in 5.

    Well done Boris.
