I've never heard so many ministers saying 'that's not my department'.

What do these people tell their constituents if they're Overseas Development Minister ...

.... "Sorry, no idea why your bins haven't been emptied for a month, I'm currently occupied with Angola."

    It's called deflection mate.

It's like the kid with ice-cream all over his face that says "it wasn't me mum"

Its plateauing (if there is such a word) will have to do this for a while before it can start to go in a downwards direction.

If the 601 dead people were from a terrorist attack we'd be in a state of shock ...

... and this is day after day after day.

I love your optimism but I'm not seeing any end to this.

Not much you can say to this. When you sit and think about it the death rates are staggering.

Who would honestly visit a pub at this present time ? I like a pint as much as anyone, but seriously what the actual **** are these people thinking? The landlord deserves to lose his license IMHO .

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-52475708

Police found drinkers hiding in cupboards when they raided a pub allegedly breaking coronavirus lockdown regulations.

Officers went to the Pitsmoor Hotel in Sheffield on Friday following reports from members of the public that it was still serving customers.

South Yorkshire Police and Sheffield City Council issued a prohibition order forcing it to shut.

Police said that the pub's alcohol licence is now under review.

It is inevitable that France will see a “second wave” of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 - which causes Covid-19 - after deconfinement begins, medical experts have said.

A jump in the number of infections post-confinement is widely expected, as people begin to leave their homes and schools reopen from May 11th.

It's a bit morbid to put the numbers up but:

    9/11 deaths: 2996
    7/7 deaths: 56
    Manchester arena: 23
    Bataclan Bombing: 130
    Nice Bastille Day: 186
    Boston Marathon: 3

3392 deaths from 6 of the worst terrorist attacks in the west over the last 20 years.

That's the equivalent to the last 6 days of deaths in the UK alone due to this illness.

If they do reopen pubs and other places where people gather socially, why any right minded person would willingly put themselves at risk of being exposed to a virus that is lethal enough to kill 26,000 people (and counting) is beyond my comprehension. Russian roulette.

I wonder if New Zealand will get a second wave? Wondering how many waves will there be in the countries that are half arsed about the strictness of their lockdowns ?

I'm really missing the UK, my family and especially my lovely little granddaughter ...

... but, if there was a flight back tomorrow, I wouldn't be on it.

I waited outside the pharmacy today until the only other customer had gone ...

... no way I'm getting on a plane crowded with people who don't even bother to wash their hands.

Reading that today that Wetherspoons plan to reopen in June! (Has to be wishful thinking IMHO ) - I'm not venturing into any pub until I'm convinced it's safe to do so (and that's gigging or as a punter)
