No contradiction. I said the French have definitely included relegations in their models for season end scenarios. They may change their minds but it's more likely that they change the cancellation rather than the model for doing it. We don't know whether they follow our 2/3rds voting arrangement. Our PL is a separate entity in terms of who has a say in how it's run. The other European leagues have to have agreements across their leagues 1 and 2.
Sorry that's where I've got confused, I thought you was referring to here with the definite relegations
Oh sorry. You made a comment saying it wouldn't be fair for France to include relegations, I thought we both knew we were talking about that
Disappointing to see a doctor indulge in completely arbitrary dates like they're horoscopes. Since businesses can't open right now how about we write off this tax season and don't reopen until 5 April 2021?
Why not a play-off between the bottom 3 clubs in the relegation spots and the top 3 pushing for promotion? One off games, winners in the prem... I'm sure they would all be up for that.
i'm fairly sure the bottom 3 wouldn't be while they think there is a chance of either getting the season voided or at least no relegation .
Can't see the top three in the championship being keen either; strong chance of promotion but now got to play superior (on paper) sides to gain promotion. But the expansion of your scenario; what about the other sides chasing promotion?
If we get to the stage were it will be safe to play, then the idea will surely be to play all games out not any sort of add ons ( for want of a better phrase). Two things I don't understand are - why any football fan would think that null and voiding a season is a good idea. It's the most unsporting thing I can think of. I'm talking about it as a concept in general, not relating specifically to the present situation. If you love sport you generally want to see effort rewarded, why are you involved otherwise. Those who hate watch aren't fans. (I know full well what the shouts for voiding the PL atm are about.) The second thing is that I would expect that if football resumes then it means we've beaten the virus or are well on the way to getting back to 'normal '. That should be a good thing, right? Saying let's just call it all off now means you've got no hope or, God forbid, desire for getting back to normality whatever that may look like. Once again I will say that getting back to football is not the priority. Beating the virus is. Staying safe and well is. I think that if we are following good scientific and medical advice and shops and restaurants etc. are opening then sport has to come back at some point too.
I've really missed you being scared. Just seeing you back and saying that has raised my spirits. I know everything will be alright now
The bloody League Cup/Caraboa/Caramel Cup oojamaflip! Don't be bloody pedantic! I'm cross. I need a bloody haircut
I would be happy to be awarded it but the maj of Liverpool fans want it settled. No asterisk involved. I understand that. All that said, I still think we can settle it fully. We have time
All good mate. Lockdown hasn’t been too bad for me to be honest, I’ve rather enjoyed it to some extent! Hope you and everyone else here are staying safe.
