We did have our first confirmed case from late March return to work this Monday. He had a rough time, but, like Boris, never actually had to go on a ventilator, just oxygen. He probably had it for weeks while he worked trains, at the depot, in the messroom and so forth. Not one of us who'd been in contact with him had to isolate because of that, unless we developed symptoms, and then we would have isolated anyway.

Would have been better had we all been tested, but even frontline NHS nurses like my ex who are dealing with the virus have not been getting tested until recently anyway.

yeah the lack of testing has been a dreadful and the fact that so many NHS and care workers have obviously been working whilst infectious due to not showing symptoms is terrifying .The fact this has led to staff in care / nursing homes staying onsite to protect residents and their own families .

The day after our government stresses the need to get sport back up and running for the social and economic benefits to the country the French government calls it on all sport including the French league. <laugh> Interesting to see how that affects the CL with PSG still in it.

Also worth noting the timing of the announcement as PSG hours earlier today said they won't be taking a pay cut.

Not sure I understand all of this <laugh> but whatever it is I hope it's the best possible outcome. Hope your football club gets all the help and support it needs.

I believe their FA have set out 3 options to be discussed in May. The options: ppg, call it as at last game played, game 27, call it at half-season point, game 19. This includes relegations.

And now the president of La Liga says he doesn't understand France's decision, stating that football is really important to Spain. He says France is not the example to follow.

It's looking like a patchwork quilt.

He is a doctor so he has my respect for that and I also accept that there are different opinions on this but he's just going with the well worn narrative that the virus will magically disappear if a new season starts.

Nobody knows the timings on this and nobody wants to rush back so why not just give the message of let's wait and see.

None of those are acceptable if they include relegations imo. Calling it as PPG now with no relegation is the best option of all, including playing the games.

I didn't say he couldn't, mate; what bothers me is our idiot FA listening to him.

They've made a commitment to restarting and if they go back on that then there'll be a **** storm. What's the issue with restarting when it's safe and playing behind closed doors? Just what? Players might refuse to play because of safety, that's their perogative, but lockdown should be over by June, although it will be an easing. There are eight more months of this year left and we can see the season out. France and Holland have bottled it IMO.

Next season is a separate issue.

But you know, null and void means no one wins jack. IMO City never won the EFL this season. Suits me fine.

There will definitely be relegations. If I could post pictures on my phone I would post the model they have released that is to be considered when they meet in May.

Behind closed doors is full of issues, better off ending it now and then everyone knows where they stand.

I didn't mention null and void. Pretty sure that's not the case though, their name is literally on the trophy.

Next season shouldn't be an issue, we have 3 months to prepare for it.

City weren't in the EFL this season, they did however win the ELC when the competition was completed

I can't see 14 clubs voting for teams to be relegated on an incomplete season personally. It wouldn't be fair and would make a mockery of the league.

There's nothing definite about any of this, we've already seen about 4 different solutions across Europe.

I said 'definitely' as in the pictures posted showing their options definitely included relegations.

I agree that nothing is definite about any of the leagues. Things are changing daily.

Your second bit contradicts your first a little bit

Nah they've likely got what they ideally want to go for, just saying that it doesn't mean that 14 clubs will vote for it.
