As you know, I think it's a complete and utter joke. It's not so much that B&Q are open, but if the government trust retailers to take sensible precautions, then they should treat those very same consumers, with a grown up attitude and chance of dialogue on the matter. In that if people want to visit their families, then they should be allowed to with the same grown up attitude. Afterall, who am I most likely to be concerned of infecting (aside from both) a stranger or my kin. Also why just B&Q etc, why don't we open up pub gardens, and other outlets, where social distancing in the same way as DIY stores can be applied. The government want to have grown up attitudes but they are treating us like kids.

They are not really 2m apart are they, although it's still no different to going to a supermarket? Shouldn't it be the retailer managing that situation?

Seems to me that for every example of social distancing working well, you'll get a picture of where it is not. This is across the board at all levels, not just in retail.

It also seems that London is almost exclusively the culprit, as if it does not apply to Londoners.

Still at a loss for why the government takes the blame for this as well? It's the public ****ing it up, not the government. We know what to do, some are and some aren't.
