Much as I agree with the champions bit, I think it would be totally abhorrent to award a CL place to Spurs over Leicester, and I have no axe to grind against Spurs at all. If that happened I would hope uefa carried out their (vague?) instructions and banned the whole association. Us included.

The TV funds have already started being awarded based on current standings so your solutions offers nothing new there. So what's the point of abandoning the league? You're just guaranteeing no income can come from the remaining games. Plus staff would probably be laid off if there was a guarantee of no business for another 6 months or so.

If you're proposing all this in some hope next season will be back to normal then there's no chance of that. IMO if you want next season to be as good as possible then it's best to use the remainder of this season to work out the difficulties of football in the new age of no crowds (both covid medicines have failed and there's no evidence of immunity after having it).
