If you’d have actually read the conversation, you have seen that Donga said yesterday that UEFA had decreed that null and void was dead.

Only they hadn’t and the actions of the Dutch FA proved it. The Dutch Govt didn’t call it either, the Dutch FA did, **** all to do with the Govt. all they’d done is said there can’t be any major sporting events until Sept.

UEFA have said they’ll accept nominations for EL/CL places on sporting merit, which can be a whole host of things.

Maybe if you’d have bothered to acquaint yourself with the actual facts, then you wouldn’t have jumped in and made an absolute **** of yourself again.

Oh well.

 

So the Dutch don't consider football to be a sporting event?

Null and void is dead for the PL if they want CL money, which they do.

 

Just having a read of UEFA's proposed timetables and it's mental that some EL sides could be playing ties for this years comp at the same time as qualifiers for next years.

 

You missed out the major event bit, and forgot about the possibility of behind closed doors that you’ve been crapping on about for weeks.

And that's the reality of it. The season is dead whether they do PPG or behind closed doors or whatever. It was over 6 weeks ago.

 

As sporting merit can only be apportioned to the ‘special’ season eh.......

Oh, right. So we should have voided the 1981/2 season because of the Falklands War, and the 2001/2 season because of 9/11? And if the season ended in march, so be it. But its bizarre to claim that the placing and European qualifications should then be on the season before.

If they were being fought on mainland Britain then yes we should have. Not really comparable to the current situation and I really can't get behind the force it through in empty neutral grounds option.

What did you think of my suggestion last night? Abandon the league with no relegation but award you lot the title? This would allow tv funds divided up and plans to be put in place for clubs with a bit of clarity over their financial situation.

I don't think that last sentence should happen either.
