I don't get the fuss about DIY shops.

Screwfix, amongst others, have been offering a click and collect service for essential items only.

Might be wrong, but I reckon vulnerable people could be asked to isolate a lot longer than the initial 12 weeks.
Going to be some really ****ty choices to be made this year.
Hes statedcSucky’s Ban was a bit harsh tbf, I think he’s improved a lot recently.
I hope you're right but history shows that if lessons are learned it is very short livedThat's why I think the government needs to extend the furloughed deal for their relatives...we need (as a society) to show compassion and generosity in times like these...if they are left high and dry it'll say nothing positive about what we (as a society) should have learned from this awful situation.
That's how I see it.
It would be nice, but it would be an absolute nightmare for a lot of smaller companies. That's why I think the government needs to extend the furloughed deal for their relatives...we need (as a society) to show compassion and generosity in times like these...if they are left high and dry it'll say nothing positive about what we (as a society) should have learned from this awful situation.

It's not really a choice for them imo...if they stop isolation before it's safe then they could be risking the lives of loved ones. The government's furloughed scheme should be made available to them by the government.
The idea of be sacked or risk a vulnerable persons life is beyond comprehension to me.
It would beup there with some of the **** Victorisn employers got away with imho.
It needs to be addressed by the government as lockdown is eased.
I am not accusing you of being ****ty...
Even if you are a gooner twat![]()

Their definition of essential is pretty loose.Screwfix, amongst others, have been offering a click and collect service for essential items only.
Their definition of essential is pretty loose.
It’ll basically be whatever is in that particular warehouse I’m sure.Their definition of essential is pretty loose.
Yeah I get that which is why I gave them the option to be furloughed first. But ultimately the work still has to be done so the other option is to hire new people and then when this is over make the decision of who to get rid of, which is **** either for the current guys or the new staff I’d have to take on. And at the point there isn’t work for the furloughed staff because I’ve replaced them am I then breaking the rules on furlough because it’s to stop people being laid off but there then isn’t work for them....
It’s a tough one!

Really don't know mate, just heard the rumour.Does it means his sister takes over ?
I can tell you what we will learn from this absolutely nothing.
I've not seen any positive changes by the government to help the elderly, those with MH problems, those that are on their own especially with disabilities, that's not forgetting the domestic abuse and the non existent child education during this crisis. They might talk about these things but how they talk about it and how I would talk about it are two completely different entities. Don't get me wrong, it's all well and good talking the talk but are they walking it...
I'll leave it to Reuters to explain in more detail...
