It’s fascinating so far. Grossman’s war diaries plus some of his articles for the Red Army newspaper Krasneya Vesda (Red Star).

The war diaries are previously unpublished, and therefore uncensored, Grossman’s family gave them to British historian Antony Beevor
yeah Beevor got some really useful links when he was working on Stalingrad which was a really good read though covering pretty well worn territory.Quite a bit re Grossman both in that & in his later Berlin .
On USSR an interesting read ( imo obviously ) is Stalin -The Court of the Red Tsar by Simon Seebag Montefiore
 
Just studied the official tenders for PPE again, not a single bit of evidence that we would have been better off in EU procurement initiatives. Buying power is effectively redundant when you’re taped up by legislation, regulations and frameworks.
 
Did anyone watch The Big Night In last night?
Absolutely unwatchable. And I usually like **** TV.
