On another note it highlights the level of player that we could get to come to the North East .. This notion that we cannot is a fallacy .. It didn't stop us the last time we had money or the time before that, however while we spent for a handful of years the club was never in a position to sustain such spending. This takeover would change that.

Clive Betts, the chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Football, said Saudi Arabia's alleged role in pirate network beoutQ "should be an immediate priority for regulatory scrutiny surrounding the takeover".

that would be why he is calling for an investigation.
It’s one of his parliamentary jobs.

would be a dereliction of his duty if he didn’t raise it.

Scored on his debut then got a successful of really bad injuries, his knee was always a problem.

Bobby said when he sold him that he wasn't a Marcelino and had had genuine bad luck and expected him to come back to haunt us. Never really happened though and he always had injuries wherever he went.

God I still remember the rumour that Corts wife was an absolute horrible person. She was always going around Newcastle saying to other women “do you know who I am” before pushing in front of people etc. I actually bumped into Cort in a nightclub and said talked to him for about 2 minutes and he seemed alright.

I also bumped into Olivier Bernard one time and couldn’t believe how small he was but he was also really nice. I spoke to him for five minutes and said he needed to calm his temper a bit. The weekend afterwards he nearly got his head knocked off and was knocked out by the ball.

I once also bumped into Steve harper and he just basically blanked me. Totally ignored me.

spoke to shola in jesmond in his early years and all I couldn’t think of was how he just oozes class in a hat.

anyone else bump into any toon legends?

Met Paul Gascoigne back when he was still in the Juniors/Reserves at Newcastle just around the time he was breaking into the 1st team - was playing in a reserves game and got sent off.

We were outside the ground after the game and he offered me and my mate a tenner each out of his pay packet to go and spark the referee. We were only about 13 at the time lol
