I have no idea if this is right, but someone I know who knows about these things doesn’t think there is any chance Premier League will have either the appetite or the power to block #nufctakover. Which reminds me, must order two crates of wine. Have fallen below 20 in the house

Bet the idiot wasn't doing that when they bought into Sheffield Utd?

He is a Sheffield Wednesday fan, maybe you should look into what he did at the time, if anything at all.

The same Clive Betts who had to accept a seven day ban from the Commons after being censured for employing a Brazilian former male escort as his parliamentary researcher?

Regardless of what happened previously, you'd think he should have more important things to do with his time right now than stirring the **** over a potential football club takeover ...

Great work if you can get it, not sure of his other roles in Parliament to be honest. But you seem dead keen on research, maybe what his other roles are other than his tastes in personal assistants/staff? Plus as a Labour MP he isn't running the nation in our current crisis, so maybe he has a chair on things like human rights etc?

Wouldn't you think that as Labour under Corbyn was against sales of arm to Saudi that this would be his party line. Sure Corbyn would have something to add IF he were PM.

It's all done. The silence is due to NDA.

There is a penalty clause in the charge lodged with Companies House. No-one is allowed to disclose.

Hey all, sorry if I've covered what has already been said.

Government won't get involved to block this. They publicly welcome investment from the Public Investment Fund and Saudi Arabia are a key ally.

I have no doubt there is a "silence while we're waiting to hear from the PL" clause. That still leaves at the mercy of the PL.

The risk of the PL growing a spine, however, seems small

The PL will not risk upsetting the Saudis. They inject billions into our economy. To deny them is to say we know better than the government. The economic risk is too great.

27th April is completion day! You heard it here first - mainly because it hasn't been said anywhere else!

I wish they would just announce it

I was in good shape when this all broke on the 30th of March , but 24 days later I'm a soft rotting mess.

Shows the Labour MP doesn't believe the Premier League will stop the deal.

The Torys don't concern me, they like investment
