Just like everyone else mate, business is wobbling, had a few things go against us that we wherent expecting. Nothing to do but dwell on it in the house, which leads to tension and stress and unnecessary shouting. So you feel a arse to the kids. My mam is poorly, I cant go to see her and she swears shes ok, but I'm ****ting myself shes going to go without being able to say goodbye. But im not feeling to sorry for myself. A long standing customer has just lost her mum and grandma over the course of a couple of days. The kicker, she had to watch the funerals over video messaging because she needs to isolate. Very rare I cry mate, but I wept thinking about that.
So very, very sorry to hear all that mate. If you need to talk away from the main boards on here, pm me. It may help to share your feelings privately.
Thanks jb, appreciate your help. Everyone is in the same boat. I think weve all got worries, and the longer it progresses the bigger those worries will become. Hoping everyone comes through ok. Take care everyone
We are all in this together you're right. Make no mistake though, not everyone is in your position of worrying whether or not you will see your Mum again. Mate, I can't tell you how heartbreaking that is. And yet there are snides coming on here preaching that the only thing Liverpool fans are concerned about is the football, as if we are some sort of inhuman collective with no hopes, feelings, jobs or families. Makes my blood boil. Take care.
I dont begrudge some of them a moan, it helps to fill the long hours of staring at the wall. Something to talk about with other people. I've said previously it's not about winning the league, if we where 7th with nothing riding on the last few games I'd still want it to resume. I bloody miss it.
If it was a moan, I'd understand. It's far more sinister. I find the morbid obsession, ghoulish and deeply disturbing. In a time of crisis you look to people to step in and help raise you up. I've tried to be positive and so have a few others like your good self and most of the Liverpool fans tbf. I'm not enjoying what I'm reading generally, it's all mostly wallowers wallowing, the footie talk has dried up and it's very depressing. Take care everyone
Aw mate so sorry Defo tough times are the mo Hope all pans out okay I went round to my Aunts the other day after not hearing from her in two days to find her wading through her own vomit and Well let’s just say it was horrible Had to get her straight into A&E Not contact with her now - it’s bad All worry at the mo Anyway hope you guys get through it Take care
This is worth a listen, Neil Atkinson talking to Maria Eagle amongst others. James Pearce does a good piece, and general chat with some of the usual suspects about everything Liverpool FC.
Bloody hell lad, that's horrible. I know it's not enough but I hope everything goes ok and she comes through ok. Take care of your self and your own.
I'm not going to address individual posts, but clearly some on here are finding it very tough. It's hard for us all, but obviously more so for some than others - whether it be particular circumstances or a degree of mental resilience or whatever. I can't offer anything of much use, other than encouraging people to stay strong and do their best for themselves and those that need them wherever they can. Stay as positive as is possible. The death rate seems to be steadying, and restrictions are being eased elsewhere in the world. There will be an end to this.
So the government will pay Sky Sports and BT Sports the shortfall meaning taxpayers pick up the tab. Aka not free at all but boring ****ed that don't like footy will have to chip in...
So the German Bundesliga are hoping to be back in business by 9th May. At least there might be some football to watch soon. Can't see the PL being back any time soon though, we can't even get the NHS staff tested, no chance they'll get the players, coaches and cameramen done before every game
they would easily get the players done just as they did when this first started . Cameramen would just need to social distance as other workers do .The biggest hurdle is public perception after all just look at the fuss over people sunbathing .
Yeah I doubt people are going to find it too acceptable for ambulances and paramedics to be diverted to football matches whilst in the current situation. Can't see behind closed doors until at least July and maybe not even then.
