    Why is it offensive, J?

    I happen to be mightily proud of my nation and it's flag. Just because a few twats use it for their own nefarious ends doesn't mean everyone should be tarred with the same brush. To be honest, I am offended by the suggestion that our flag shouldn't be flown in this country.

    Try telling the Irish or the Welsh not to fly their flags. It wouldn't happen.

    People want to apply today's standards to hundreds of years ago mate as if they're even remotely comparable.

    A bit like the half wits wanting to pull down statues because the people weren't perfect. There's a statue of Cromwell in Westminster, he wasn't particularly nice to the Irish but I wouldn't want it down, you can't just pretend these people didn't exist.

    If someone wants to plant a flag outside their house it's entirely up to them. Doesn't automatically make the right wing zealots.
