He once made an out of court settlement to some woman and there were allegations that he couldn't keep it in his trousers, however, he has done really well in his legal and foreign work. he has worked his way up the Tory party and is standing in for Boris which isn't an easy thing. I have to take what you say with a pinch of salt as you just hate anything Tory and it blinds your judgment. I keep saying my track record on politics is pretty good so I am doing something right.

The statement in bold is nothing to do with politics apart from your ridiculous bias towards anyone Tory. It’s a laughable statement when you compare the two men’s careers.
Okay then Mr expert other than his Law/Council stuff what political or top jobs has he had? How many speeches/debates has he had with World leaders then? Other than shadow this, reserve that, what has he done in the World arena? Seriously Watford sometimes you really do show your political inexperience.
He is a lawyer in a suit. As Goldie said he will be 'forensic' but is as charismatic as a wet sponge

I’m not professing to be an expert. I’m judging the two guys’ experience against your assertion that Raab would normally “wipe the floor” with Starmer.

I will be the first to admit that Raab has come across badly at these briefings. I was only saying to my mate before all this how he would be a great replacement for Bojo up there.
However I do know that when he is on his game he is very good.Maybe I was a bit unfair to Starmer but I haven't been impressed with him in the past.

Important for Starmer to hit the ground running in fairness, and I for one, even as someone who has never voted Labour, want an opposition that holds the Govt's feet to the fire. Competition drives success and all that.
The biggest opposition to the government is the Civil Service.
Strangely many reporters have said it's the first opposition at PMQ's for 5 years. That tells you how utterly useless Corbyn was. I still laugh thinking back to all the posts about him.
actually .I probably expected too much from Starmer yesterday and most seem to think he was pretty good... however many are already saying that he is not very charismatic (which is important when voting... just ask Jezza).What also lets him down was that he was a vocal 'remainer' who kept banging on about a 2nd 'losers vote". There are also a few rumours re Jezza's problem with jews which he is distancing himself from.
They were a far more effective opposition than Labour pre-election, they are intrinsically pro-EU and more interested in their own jobs than being effective at carrying out what is required of them. Too many time-servers need a wake-up call.
That said I think Starmer was impressive yesterday and he should give Boris more of a shoeing than Corbyn could ever manage but his biggest battle will be with those still following the agenda that has been rejected twice under Corbyn...
I wonder how the politics of the country will change after all this. (If it ever ****in ends). We are starting to realise just how important some people are, the same that have been disregarded as important in the past. I hope it's been an eye opener for some.
The country will be a strange place after Coronavirus and I am sure that Keir Slimmer will keep attacking on the failings front? However, he won't be able to do that for long. People will move on and other things will come to the front. I am sure Boris will keep mentioning 'bell ends' support for Corbyn and his weird remain views.
The agenda that you claim was rejected in 2017 very nearly got Corbyn into number 10. Corbyn himself was rejected second time round, not the agenda, which I think would be even more popular now.
I somehow think that free broadband, free university for all and money for Waspy women will not be top of the electorate's agenda
