    I went into my local hardware shop and asked the man behind the counter for a bottle of methylated spirits.

    The man said "I'm sorry, but I've heard you're an alcoholic and you'll only end up drinking it! So I'm not going to serve you!"

    I assured him that it was mistaken identity and I needed it to clean my paintbrushes. So, after 5 minutes of pleading, he begrudgingly took a bottle off the shelf and handed it to me.

    "Oh, you not got a cold one?", I said.

    Met a lovely girl from Chesterfield who was staying in Calella (I was staying in Lloret de Mar) at a country bbq with running wine from a fountain and managed to sneak on to her coach at the end...:grin: That was in my wild single youthful days of course!
