Yes he gets to the truth

 

Top man... Some only needed to listen to the five minutes at the start the rest I knew without listening too lol .... Part of the reason I said give him five minutes of your time was purely in hope that some would sit up and say we got an issue here and it's deeper than party colours

 

Can still trace it after doing both of these things.

 

Spent the morning watching his documentary on East Timor when I should have been working. Been there a few times since they gained independence and heard some of the horrific accounts of what happened when the Indonesians pulled out in 2000 from the people we were working with, so very interesting to hear how the whole Indonesian invasion started. Some pretty graphic accounts and horrific pictures but an excellent documentary considering most of the stuff in East Timor was shot while he was hiding the fact he was a journalist.

 

Was listening to radio...heard that they thinking of making masks compulsory in Germany if leaving the house

he went on to say even the cloth masks are helpful

 

They have been compulsory here outdoors for 3 weeks now. Most people use the cloth ones as the surgical ones are difficult to get hold of. Its ruined my morning run - its not much fun with a mask on.

 

I don’t think there’s any medical or scientific consensus that masks are effective in preventing the spread of the disease.

So on that basis, I’m out.

 

Hmmm...from what I hear they are better than nothing...I’ll take that

if we all wore masks then those with the symptoms wouldn’t spread them. What the masks dont do is stop you catching it.

So if we all wear them then no one can spread it

 

Assuming people use them correctly.

See, when I hear words like “should be compulsory”, my natural response is automatically “should **** off”.

I am willing to try and do the right thing, because it’s the right thing to do. I want to behave responsibly, most people do.

But I ****ing hate being told what to do. The government, to their credit, do seem to recognise the importance of striking a balance between these two impulses.

this is why when I go to Train stations I always walk in opposite direction to the arrow painted on the floor

I work in a train station. It’s always the ****s with face masks and gloves on who come right up in your grill asking stupid questions. They seem to think they’re protected, so **** you Jack, I’m going to wave my phone an inch from your face while you tell me how to get to Peterborough

 

‘why is the train late everyday ?’ Is not a stupid question
