The Premier League would always have needed to do this - they already knew about the situation, they have looked into it previously and found they couldn't do anything due to lack of evidence linking the piracy to Saudi Arabian leadership. It's kind of for show - they need to have their lawyers look at it now and make this info public before confirming the takeover in order to be able to assure Bein that they have taken it all seriously and done everything they could/should.

I think the tensions that already existed between Saudi and Qatar would have seen this situation rear it's head whatever. I really don't think Richard Keyes is the mastermind behind this situation...
