My brother lived in Miami (Well very close) and found it fine.

 

So I'm right again I can't just turn up to a foreign country and expect them to feed and house me from their tax payers .
But we are supposed to for some reason nobody has adequately explained to me.

... and HMRC are spot on with that ... their numbers have been decimated over the last 30 years ... and before you start spouting off about unions bleating, the vast majority of rank and file HMRC staff are female second incomes and the least militant types you could find ...plain fact ... but when you have a government not particularly keen on closing tax loopholes that might affect their mates and family (yes those family offshore bank accounts Mr Cameron) ... hardly surprising that you are happy to cut their investigative resource

Unlikely. Not sure wtf that has to do with anything. Do you seriously believe the government is handing out freebies to penniless immigrants in the U.K.? There might, just possibly, have been some truth in that 20 years ago, it certainly isn’t the case now.

It takes a lot of drive, ambition and guts to move countries looking for work. Which is why most immigrants, anywhere in the world, tend to be very hardworking.
