I know that, but right now they along with maybe Wolves are the teams we will be competing with and maybe even the likes of Arsenal to a degree given their position atm. I'm just saying that's why they're so worried .. Everton are the team that have to worry from day 1 of this going through. It's an immediate problem to their plans.
So Eredivisie is off til Sept 1st at least, along with all other sport in Netherlands. But we won’t void the EPL, no way, not ever. Sure.
I have maintained the same stance that it will take time from day 1 listen arsehole you know it and I know it .. Evertons wasted £250 million on ****e like Iwobi and Walcot just became even worse

The bigger clubs won't be concerned because we're not an immediate problem and already have bigger fish to fry, but rest assured if Newcastle do become a problem in a few years they will pipe up to. It's just the way it is.[/QUOTE] Knew you were a comedian when you backtracked like this.....IF
Can’t be arsed to read through the beef that’s going on that derailed this thread. can someone summarise please (not the beef) are there any PL clubs still going through the furlough process. yesterday HMRC had 140k applications from firms for 1m staff and £1bn to pay out. Likely cost will be £42bn now that scheme has been extended
Still clubs taking Furlough. Ozil sticking his heels in over a pay cut/deferral. Can't blame him to be honest. Everton have no staff on Furlough and all part time match day staff paid until end of season if completed or not.
You Toon lads should be more concerned about the BeIn sports (Qatari) concerns to your takeover which they have alerted the EPL to. They currently have a £400 million TV rights deal with the EPL so carry considerable clout and are no fans of the Saudi's who they claim are actively facilitating illegal streaming of EPL games in the Middle East.
so no PL clubs are taking up the 80% from the government then, good news. Ozil will cut his wages I’m sure, as have the team. It does seem odd how far European teams have gone to help their clubs and their fans in comparison to PL, for example Juventus team taking £90m cut in wages, with similar from Roma. Then the Spanish teams have all taken cuts, which have been instigated by the players in most cases. Our PL teams have dragged their feet on this - shameful
Can only speak for my own club everton. Club board have taken a wage deferral/cut. No staff on non playing side have been put on furlough and as of yet all part time staff paid till end of season(assume home games etc) EiTC charity have continued to pay staff in full and continue to support the local and wider community. What level of cut/deferal players may take, thats not my concern. Football in other nations have shown how football can make its contribution
It’s a shame Spurs and Liverpool didn’t look to see what could be done and follow the great examples set be Juve and Roma, rather than jump at the opportunity of grabbing some free cash from the Government from a scheme devised to help company’s in distress and that were likely to fold or lay off large numbers of staff. what does that say about Liverpool and Spurs
