I don't care what you post it's just words on the Internet, Eddie is looking at the death rate in pure numbers and there aren't that many more than usual. If the BBC constantly put up a ticker tape of people snuffing it from heart disease, shower slips etc it would probably be more scary .

I'm at work. I'm not an anarchist but I am trying to live my life as best I can given that the Govt has introduced authoritarian laws restricting me of my basic civil liberties in the name of "keeping us safe" when the actual reality is that there is zero evidence that locking folk in their homes keeps anyone safer. What I am saying isn't controversial, I'm merely stating facts that we know. I'm not basing it on "modelling" or "projections" which is code for guessing. The science behind the lockdown is flawed. What I'm starting to understand is that lots of folk are scared of dying from a virus or passing it on and "killing" someone else. Both are irrational fears and I refuse to live in fear.

Carol Cooper, head of equality, diversity and human rights at Birmingham Community Hospital, said BAME (Black Asian and Ethnic Minority) medics ‘feel targeted’ to work on the wards and are ‘terrified’. No figures, no statistics, no names but up she stands and shouts racism. Even if this virus is all made up by mysterious lizard men who control the flat earth we live on I can't say that footage from UK hospitals has demonstrated a bias towards BAME health workers. Just another mug who can't let an opportunity pass her by without blaming honky for everything.
More flawed logic. I don't care about my business dying on its arse, worst things have happened to me and I'll no doubt adapt to the new norm as I have done many times before. Nor am I dismissing the elderly as collateral damage but is the Govts action in proportion to the issue at hand. How much has it cost to save lives? And what about all the other deaths from non covid related activities? Folk say you can't put a cost on a life but the Govt does already so what cost is acceptable? If, heaven forbid, I am diagnosed with terminal cancer and there is a drug that costs £500,000 that will prolong my life for 18 months, would the NHS fund it? No, they wouldn't. But the UK is projected to spend £330bn in cash injections to companies and employees so they can save 150,000 lives with a median age of 85 which equates to the UK taxpayer is spending over £2m per life saved. Value for money? The Govt has robbed UK citizens of their civil liberties, some of the their livelihoods, their NHS, their Mental Health, their social life, their education, their dignity in the name of a virus which has a mortality rate of less than 1%. I don't want anyone to die but people die and that's **** but **** happens and there's fk all you can do about it.
There would be thousands if not a 100,000 Irish working in the NHS at least,are they white or an ethic minority?Asking for a friend.
