John McDaniel, of Marion County in Ohio, died at a hospital in Columbus last Wednesday, around a fortnight after he tested positive for Covid-19. On March 15, he railed against Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s closures aimed at stopping the spread of coronavirus on social media, writing on Facebook: ‘If what I’m hearing is true, that DeWine has ordered all bars and restaurants to be closed, I say bullshit! ‘He doesn’t have that authority. If you are paranoid about getting sick just don’t go out. It shouldn’t keep those of us from living our lives. He died principled and took the risk that everyone takes by leaving your house - you might die. I'd rather die living my life how I see fit than be denied that right by Govt policy designed to placate hysteria whipped up by media reporting. The facts are still the facts. Up to 80% of folk get the virus and show NO SYMPTOMS. The deadly virus kills less than 1% of those who do show symptoms. In Italy, over 50% of victims had 3 or more underlying health problems and over 95% had one or more underlying health problems. The average age of the victims is mid to late 80s. From what we are seeing in panic stricken Lockdown Britain is a massive rise in domestic violence, Childline inundated with calls. I have long been a dissident voice when it comes to this virus, the horrendous lockdown which denies humans their basic human rights to go out, socialise, see friends and families and would have scores of unintended consequences. Latest data from the ONS says that there were 8,000 more deaths last week than the average but only 1/3 of those deaths can be directly be attributed to COVID so we can say, based on a weeks data, that 66% of those deaths can be blamed on the lockdown? And still, not one piece of evidence exists to suggest that lockdown actually works but lots of evidence that the lockdown has collapsed the economy, put billions on the national debt, shut thousands of businesses, costs millions of jobs, increased deaths elsewhere as the NHS is turned from a health service to a Covid response service, so on and so forth. 17000 deaths WITH covid and the assistance CMO said on Sunday that many folk are getting Covid on their death certs without being tested!! Stay home, cost lives, protect the covid response unit.

Well I am sure all the alive old people are thankful. Interesting how we so easily dismiss the lives of the elderly on here. Unless you all die of drug overdoses, alcoholism or morbid obesity everyone of us will be an oldie (some sooner than later) so how would you feel about a fit and healthy 30-40 something saying you should be allowed to die just so he can earn a crust?
