The Man City Group has had a net investment in players of UKP1.2billion, spending on facilities and shares in other clubs that probably doesn't amount to more than UKP0.8billion and at the same time has increased the value from UKP210million to a notional UKP3.9billion, based on the recent 10% share sale That's a great return on investment and is presumably a model the PIF would want to follow. It needs the investors to have a long term view on cash flow but as they are funded by the oil and gas business that comes with the territory.
FFP will be ignored because the penalties are financial. I was pleased hearing ex owners shutting this down as a long term obstacle on the radio yesterday. All it means is that they will just factor in the potential fines /penalties into their plan.
I thought Man City had just been banned from Europe for a season for lying about sponsorship associated with an FFP investigation. Are you saying if they hadn't lied about it they wouldn't have been banned?

I don’t think FFP will be much of an issue as I don’t think they’re planning on splurging like Chelsea and City did. At some point you’ll twig that it’s an investment fund not a stash of casino cash. The Saudis are in it to make a profit and Staveley is definitely not in it for the glory.

the same as man united around 30 million , but nufc has had no money from advertising or sponsors , so that will be an area the group can look at and will be wiser than you are as to what's possible.
