Mirror reporting Pochettino and an imminent announcement.

Good choice? Better than most. Safe, too, for an immediate appointment.

That would be very good news. Good manager - decent style of football and most importantly it would mean the takeover had been announced/completed. He'll need the players though to implement his playing style.

Better than the Cabbage without a doubt! I still think the return of Rafa is a given, it's just a gut feeling based on the fact that most of his players are still here and will still have his loyalty...think Gladiator! (the film)

There was an article doing the rounds recently saying bruce will be in charge for the remaining 9 games at the very least. There is no return in sight for football. I can not see poch being appointed until the end of the season.

To put this into context... Qatar are shunned in the Middle East with no direct flights from UAE or Saudi there. Only Oman will fly there. It’s laughable that they honestly think no one will see through their complaint.

Wasn’t it Qatar who fiddled the World Cup?

who used effectively slave labour to build the stadiums?

and they have the temerity to lecture on morality?

This. Qatar have an agenda. They are also behind the Amnesty International complaint.

I don't have any beef with Amnesty International if I'm honest. They are just doing their rightful job in pointing out some of the failings of Saudi Arabia in the modern world. They didn't even critisise us as fans but just asked us to be mindful and speak out for change whenever possible...The Southern and North West media, and all the other feckwitted holier than thou commentators and 'experts' however can just do one!...and breathe.

Does anyone think this issue with the Saudi's is in danger of derailing the takeover? Seems to be everyone is chirping up about it today.

Nothing that has emerged today is grounds for the Premier League to fail them on the test. Shouldn't affect it, but enormous pressure is being put on them now by it all. Would be nice if they could get a move on and say yes before even more people pile in.

    yes.

I'm amazed that any Newcastle United fan is already counting their Chickens.

what I do know is that if it gets rejected the rest of the world will rejoice and keys etc will be all over it! it will be a living hell. the thought of this is scary . we will be ridiculed, patronized and have the absolute piss ripped out of us by the makems and opposing fans for god knows how long.

It's on the cards, but I'm not rolling with the notion it's done until it actually is. The pressure on the Premier League to reject it is increasing and rest assured the clubs asked to send letter will take the opportunity.. This won't be the last of it.. It is only the start of a tidal wave of objection..

never underestimate your opponent ! they have a plan and wont go down without a fight.

I also want to take the opportunity to say the media pumping the story out has created this. If only they had STFU and not reported it as DONE and that only the prem league can stop this ! I mean they litterally told the enemy exactly where to to go and when. If they had gone quiet then just boom its done , but oh no too desperate for a story.

The constant stories about nufc being the next man city sparked every arsehole into gear . I mean ffs it's the very worst thing that people want to hear , so they start piping up.

every idiot on twitter rose to the occassion started poking snakes with sticks ie keys etc to get them going full steam ahead. I'm sorry, but if these idiots just stopped firing back insults and left these people alone they wouldnt hate on us and move on... morons .

one thing you can be certain of is that confirmation won't be this week.. they won't just insult the complainants by reporting it as done less than a day after they sent the letters.
