Now can you understand why I chose not to opt for you as my go to on this ?

Keith Downie's just been on to say their source at the PL doesn't expect it having any impact. The PL will just trot out the line about politics, if it even has to. We're talking about the likes of FIFA and UEFA, with deep corruption, rife racism with barely any recourse, and so on.

Think about it like this - the PL has an owners/directors test. Staveley, Reubens pass easily. So does Yasir Al Rumayyan. It's basically fake news, because it's Newcastle. Does anyone really think the PL is going to risk a lawsuit vs. Saudi? Which is what it would face if it dared refuse.
T

Think the Saudi’ can afford a law suit much more than the PL can.

It has nothing to do with anything. That they have the ****ing temerity to call the PL a "patsy" would make me quite ****ing angry, if I was them. They need money into the league. Now more than ever.

But more to the point, the PIF have invested in thousands of businesses, charities, positive causes, and so on. They have a mission to change the face of Saudi. Yes, dreadful record. But who doesn't. Just because our Crusades were a few centuries ago, slavery was 150 years ago, and so on doesn't mean we weren't allowed to work our way out of it. Saudi/UAE was a ****ing desert about 40 years ago. They're playing catchup.

All of which is a big issue, none of which is a PL "fit & proper" owners test. Hence why Ashley sailed through. The guy's a grade A prick yet his ownership never questioned. The test is there to stop a Shinawatra situation, whereby effectively a criminal used fraudulent money to buy the club. The PIF saying "we'll spend about £500m a year in your country/league" is not a cause for concern. In the big wide picture, the Queen, UK Gov (Hancock) have been extremely praiseworthy.

It's a ****ing disgrace that ****s like Collymore, Keys and now these disingenuous ****ers at Amnesty are using NUFC as effectively clickbait.

To be fair, Amnesty International's sole duty is to highlight human rights violations. I imagine they protested the takeovers of Blades, ManC, etc.too.
Regards Collycock and SlitMouthGorillaHands, their sole remit is to report objectively on football. They are quite incapable at even doing that and their foray in to international politics and social injustices is embarrassing. They should be called out on this by their peers, but unfortunately the combination of football, intelligence and objectivity are in short supply.

The fact they only sent the letter yesterday yet the takeover has been common knowledge for a while now confirms it is a token letter of objection
