Meanwhile on the SMB there are some loons actually claiming this is a left wing conspiracy to make it look like the government did it and smear them. You couldn't make it up!

I'm only ludicrously biased in my defence of SAFC ...

... I'd hate to be likewise in real life tbh, must be awful.

I work for a huge Facilities Management Company, one of the biggest in the UK, on PFI Schools, so as a key worker, I get to work from home. However in the last 24 hours, this huge FM Company have decided that during these worrying times, I can take a 10% pay cut, for 3 months at the least, with no intention of paying it back. As a matter of fact I received the letter yesterday and they have backdated it to 1st April. On top of that, this huge FM Company have furloughed some of my colleagues, no problem with that. However we were sent a communique yesterday, stating that during this furlough period, they are “required to take 2 weeks leave”. They have even kindly prebooked it for them, their first week has been “allocated” for 11th May and the second week is the 8th June. I think I might just take a little bit of advice on this one.

Sorry to hear that mate, if you're going to do something do it quick would be my view.

I've no doubt lots of big companies, who stress teamwork and trust, will show their true colours at times like this.

For many people that 10% is the bit left over when all dues and demands have been shelled out and makes it all worthwhile.

I don't trust any of them, not for many years.

Thanks for that Smug, I will be onto HR and my Director today, my role is funded by the client so he might just receive a call. The missus has been furloughed so this is going to cost us in excess of £600 per month and we will struggle.

The Tories have form for this. Iain Duncan Smith had adverts posted in newspapers and jobcentres of grateful claimants thanking the DWP for stopping their dole money for 3 months as it helped them to find work. The people in the adverts were actors and the quotes were false.

Another blustering shambolic display by the latest MP, Simon Clarke Middlesborough, on breakfast news.

In all honesty, when a career politician is being pulled to pieces by someone like Susanna Reid, it fills me with dismay tbh.

None of them have a credible answer to any of the basic questions.

"I'm sorry but that's not my department" .... "we can't give figures, they're still being collated" .... "the plane full of PPE will be here shortly"

It's the government equivalent of "the dog ate my homework" <doh>

My head office (up to now) politely requested I take annual leave during Furlough which is up to end of May for now. I'm just about to cancel my leave which was booked for 29th May. Just waiting on formal cancellation from holiday company. I'll take my holidays later in the year when I can actually do something with them, thank you very much.

Too right mate, we have been told even though we cant go anywhere we still have to take holidays in the first part of the year, commences April 1st. Because they won’t allow us to take them all in the last 6 months. They can **** off like, I was due to go to Mexico in June, it will be cancelled and I will take it when I want

Matt Hancock, Health Secretary, said a few weeks ago 'now is not the time to discuss raising nurses pay'.....MPs have just awarded themselves £10,000 to set up working at home.

MPs call for footballers to take a pay cut, they need go see the mote in their own eye!

I know people nearly dying from it is no laughing matter but it would have been funny if this had happened to Boris and Prince Charles

They think it's a side effect of some medicine they took while they had the virus and they'll be fine before long.

Just sat outside the supermarket, waiting for Mrs Smug to emerge, and watching human behaviour.

99% are distancing, masked up, etc, people here are actually following the guidelines closely.

One car pulled up with parents and two kids, aged about 4 and 7, and out they get. 20 minutes later they come out with a few bits of shopping.

No masks, kids running around everywhere and a handful of something they're munching ffs.

If I wasn't in an English registered car I'd ask them wtf ...

... plus I don't know the French for 'thick as pigshit' <doh>
