The question should be why we don't have more control and are therefore not in a position to help others. By the time we are, no one else will need helping.

I’ve never seen you once go at the government for not making sure that the likes of Boots and Amazon workers were all sorted with protective clothing.

When I read your original post I actually thought that they had evacuated the pope from Rome to self-isolate there. Just shows you cant believe everything you read on the internet.

 

My brother sent me a pic today that he took from his balcony of a bunch of twats sat socialising by the river. Probably chilling in the sun while they book their cheap holidays. I’d fine them a couple of grand for not respecting social distancing rules. The government needs the £££.

 

You posted a tweet that highlighted two things, that Germany are offering not to charge eu patients in Germany and that they are offering to take eu patients if needed.

Your intro to the tweet made out like Germany were once again showing how awesome they are, presumably in relation to us.

So I thought it was worth pointing out that we don’t charge anyone from anywhere in the world to receive coronavirus care in the UK so we don’t need to offer to pay for foreign patients in the UK. A nice bit of positivity about the NHS. Whilst at the same time applauding ze Germans for offering help to others and hoping we do the same when we can. Really don’t get what the problem is with my response other than I’ve not just blindly talked down our own country and health service which seems offensive to some on here.

It's an irrelevant point, which appear to be the ones that keep you happy.

 

Not sure it could have been a more relevant response given it literally responded to the two points made in the tweet.

What you mean by relevant is it wasn’t the exact response you wanted.

 

Here's your problem
Talking about the failures of our government is not taking down the country and health service. Your defence of these things is misplaced.

 

But Germany treating non nationals for free wasn't irrelevant?

 

The relevance to us is that they have the spare capacity to do this and we don't.
Why would that be?

 

Maybe you should balance it up by pointing out the failures of other governments too, it seems if some others do it it's whataboutary.
