So our latest death figures ate 16,500 in hospitals... France has just topped 20k but their numbers include care home deaths ... guess what I'm thinking ...

3 of those deaths aren’t necessarily Covid-19 related?

ITV news did a compare and contrast of our response and Germany's given our lockdowns were apparently one day apart ... highly embarrassing for our government ... the difference in the numbers of fatalities is beyond belief ...

 

Merkel is a scientist. She’ll have taken the real science seriously.

 

That’s nice of them to offer to have people from other countries. In the UK we don’t charge anyone from anywhere in the world for coronavirus treatment in the UK. Hopefully once we have more control we will offer to help where we can with other countries round the world.

The UK Government have just announced they have discovered a magic wand that, once waved from the top of the Telecoms Tower, will banish COVID19 for ever from these Isles and cure anyone already infected.

Actually they've just been caught red handed using a bot farm to create fake NHS staff accounts so they could use them to lie about there being sufficent PPE.

Meanwhile the PPE order that was due from Turkey on Saturday wasn't ordered until Sunday.

But hey, it's our government and we must pretend they are competent.

 

Yeah I thought so too - just seemed an odd post to have lost it over! Commented that it was good that Germany are offering to take in patients from other countries (we clearly aren’t in a position to at the moment!) and pointed out that whilst Germany are offering not to charge eu citizens in Germany for coronavirus care we don’t charge anyone for coronavirus care (or any infectious disease for that matter). And hopefully when we are doing better we extend help to other countries...

I guess not sticking my tongue straight up German arseholes and saying something good about the nhs makes some people angry.

 

I don't think the time is right at the moment, but I think once this is all over, there needs to be some big questions asked of our government and other leaders in the world, along with W.H.O but we know it won't happen. We rely on National Security and Governments to protect us, there has been a lot of people that have died that shouldn't have died, and I don't care if they only had a year or two left, they still died prematurely.

I don't want to see a totalitarian state, but when you put your citizens into lockdown it is equivilent to one, so that begs the question, why didn't you shut us down sooner, and why are private jets of wealthy people still being allowed to fly to out shores. If I'm told I can't see my grandchild for the last 4 weeks, I want to fooking know why some people seem to think they are exempt from the rules. People co-operation only happens if the rules apply to everyone. But as we saw with a Scottish minister and our own Housing minister, some people think them rules don't apply to them.
