To be fair, they've obviously hit hard times if they're reduced to hiding in a caravan park.

Response to Sunday Times Insight article

A Government spokesman said: ‘This article contains a series of falsehoods and errors and actively misrepresents the enormous amount of work which was going on in government at the earliest stages of the Coronavirus outbreak.’

‘This is an unprecedented global pandemic and we have taken the right steps at the right time to combat it, guided at all times by the best scientific advice.

‘The Government has been working day and night to battle against coronavirus, delivering a strategy designed at all times to protect our NHS and save lives.

'Our response has ensured that the NHS has been given all the support it needs to ensure everyone requiring treatment has received it, as well as providing protection to businesses and reassurance to workers.

‘The Prime Minister has been at the helm of the response to this, providing leadership during this hugely challenging period for the whole nation.’

    On the Sunday Times claims:>>>https://healthmedia.blog.gov.uk/2020/04/19/response-to-sunday-times-insight-article/

‘Interesting’ is one word for it. I don’t want to fall foul of the board’s politics rule, but I prefer the word ‘disgusting’.

If what he claims is true, that is disgraceful.

I'm not trying to deflect from that situation, but what I don't get, is why a marketing company would bother. The failings of relying on the twiterati as a way of swaying public opinion was clearly highlighted in the last election and the referendum. It's just a series of echo chambers on the whole.

It's not really the government , it's the tax payer .The tax payer pays for everything government related .

Actually I think that is his point.
He suggests, but acknowledges its a guess, that it wasn’t to sway public opinion, it was to just sound policy ideas out to see what people views were.
Checking the volume of the echo so to speak

I take your point, but even that would be a poor indicator for the reasons I mentioned. We're funding these ****s.

That’s what money means to rich people they want more and more, she could pay them £1k a week for 10 weeks and not even spend a million, with their wealth that’s probably just interest to them

Thanks for this, the other provider was fine up until this lockdown started, then it only worked once a week or so. According to this provider, they said that they changed the IP address daily, and some addresses are blocked by various companies like BBC. The strange thing for me was that on the day it didn't work for the BBC it didn't work on any other platform.

Anyhow, today I also subscribed to IVACY, it's a bit of a con to say it is £1.79 a month as that is based on a 5-year plan. So I took it out of a year, then if like the others it stops working then I am not committed for more than the year. Bytheway, it is working OK:emoticon-0148-yes:

The business already loses £1m a month, if the loses get any higher, it will be closed and they'll all lose their jobs, which is exactly what the furlough scheme was set up to avoid. Though she should really close it anyway, it's lost a fortune every year for the eleven years since she launched it and it's only going to get worse.
