Don't go down this rabbit hole mate. I was there a few months ago. Dark. Still have my doubts bout Billy. Very suspicious!!
I’ve read articles saying we’ll have 200m to spend across a few windows. will that even hardly improve us? Not moaning here by the way. Just a genuine question, how far would that get us? (On the pitch) not talking infrastructure etc.
200M to spend in the transfer windows is a considerable amount I think, considering where we are. How much net spending do we have currently? Genuine question cos I don't know the answer. It surely can't be more than a few million right?
Only reason I don’t respond mate is cause I have no ****ing clue what you’re talking about I obviously just joined at a time some nutter left making it look like I’m the nutter. oh well, popularity comes in all different ways I suppose.
The Saudi Government owns every single aspect of Saudi Arabia. They make more than just oil money. And it's temporary. Btw, the PIF is not reliant on current oil prices, Norway has the exact same investment fund and it invests in things irrespective of oil prices, the investment fund already HAS assets ranging in the 250 Billions. It doesn't need more money constantly funneling into it, it's literally a savings account and it has to be used on assets to continue gaining money completely independent of oil. I'd go the opposite, oil prices tanking is even MORE reason to invest in outside interests, the young prince has advocated this for years. If we are talking about the £200 Million @Leo Billy , I think of it like this. We have a squad that already has a string of decent players in it, at a decent age range too. I think Almiron, Max, Shar, Lejeune specifically are 4 good players we already have. I would go as far to throw Ciaran Clark and Danny Rose into that as well. Imo Rose was set to sign for us anyway, so i'm considering him our player. The biggest benefit of the new owners will be this, we will no longer need to sell our best players to hire new good players, so we can start to have a positive net spend, as opposed to breaking even which is how we have operated as for years. The reason we are stagnant is because we sell and buy in accordance with our profits and make zero progression. If we are retaining our best players, have a positive net spend ranging in the hundreds of millions, Newcastle can only go one direction and that is up. If we are not going up, that is directly the responsibility of the manager.
200 million is 200 million more than usual. i think people are getting carried away ... you cant just go out and spend 500 million .. it will take time.. the mbappe **** is for morons..
Would people be against renaming the stadium if it means more coin for players and such? 1 of the way Man City get around FFP, amongst other ways
He's a decent player imo, but that's a small point and a matter of opinion. The core argument remains the same - we can finally stop selling, keep our best and recruit better
Fact is this is happening. The stadium name will happen, as will the training ground potentially. Progress is progress, if you want to compete you've got to keep up.
Considering the **** people lost over MA re-naming SJP (I know for no money) then I can't see how this would be feasible
If people have serious objections with how modern clubs have to operate... they can watch us play in League One with am empty stadium
Different circumstances though, he done it purely for free advertising for his tat shop, they'd hopefully do it so they can put more money into the team, which surely people would be fine with
